Jezzus! Take a leave of absence and the place goes to hell in a hand basket!

Thanks for checking in on me guys/ gals… I’m ok, a little “down” lately… but not out.

Oh… and screw the spooning, its all about forking lol!

Not gonna go into all the details, let’s just say “life” has gotten in the way of my other pursuits over the last month ot 2.

Things starting to calm down now… hopefully I will be able to get back to training, no… let me re-phrase that, I WILL GET BACK TO TRAINING… starting today.

I have been in the gym sporadically for the last few months, but my training has been less than stellar. My diet… wooo-hooo… don’t even go there. Seems like since I came back from California I have lost a bit of the “fire”. So, time to set some short term and long term goals.

SHORT TERM
-getting back in the routine
-incorporating some cardio GPP work on days off
-lowering bodyweight/ fat (look good naked)
-returning to and exceeding previous strength levels
-continue/ restart the Wendler 5/3/1 template
-finding some training partners with similar interests in my area
-pay more attention to my diet

LONG TERM
-400 bench raw
-600 squat raw
-700 deadlift raw
-entering a 3 lift meet for a raw total
-getting a bench shirt- learning how to utilize it and train with it
-qualifying for the Provincials
-entering the Nationals
-entering the 2011 World Police and Firefighter games (push pull)- New York 2011- breaking the record for my category
-bring more attention to the sport and help other persons who want to learn in my area

That’s all I can think of at this point, I am sure this will be revised numerous times over the next weeks/ months/ years.

Went to the gym last night, did a chest/ bench session… 315 felt like a ton but managed to squeeze out 3 reps with it last set… did some other stuff too, but I really suck right now.

So, there you have it… anything exciting going on around the site lately? Give me all the juicy details!

welcome back bunny - keep us posted

You were absent??? Oh. I didn’t even notice. (kidding) Everyone was worried cause it’s rabbit huntin’ season out there and we thought you got some lead shot up your ass. Now get the lead out and get to work.

TNT

I thought you were either dead or caught up in some sex scandal. Welcome back.

i figured you turned ghey and decided that the powerbear look just wasn’t you and you were going for more of a runway model look now.

i was worry because we made eye contact just that one time… i hear that’s all it takes though.

our long lost bunny has returned…

Lol! Yup… no more candy ass.

So, been mucking around in the ol’ gym, seeing where my strength levels are now… not too impressed, let me tell ya. Think I have the %'s and numbers I will be working from for the start of the Wendler 5/3/1… as follows;
Note- these are training weights %'s will be based off of…

Military press-- 210

Deadlift-- 505

Benchpress-- 310

Squat-- 450

Squat weight is still questionable, gonna figure that out tonight. Week ago I did 450 for 3 reps, so we will see. I don’t mind starting a bit lower, 'cuz I am sore now, so I’m gonna be real sore in the next few weeks.

Just have to figure out what my “accessories” will be for each lift. I know there is a whole other site dedicated to the 5/3/1… but opinions vary there more than a Star Trek conference. Noobs.

Welcome to the borg! you have been assimilated…

Good luck wabbit. glad to see you posting again.

It is kind of a sensitive issue, all you big lugs make me think I never finished adolescence
all this lifting must have stunted my growth.

Reading through the 531 threads are a little confusing
luckily some of the other bastids here seem to have a good grasp of how it works

Never! You will never ass-smile-eat me!.. errr… whatever…

Did some squatting stuff last night…

SQUAT
bar x bunch
135x10
225x5
315x3
(working sets)
375x5
420x3
475x1 (this felt really heavy… damn!)
the repped out 225x18

LEG PRESS
10 plates-- 5 sets of 15 reps

So… the moral of the story is, going to stay with my training weight of 450 for the %'s and go from there. My ass is sore. And my ovaries hurt.

LEG CURLS
80 lbs-- 5 sets of 10 reps

Damn… I’m always a day late and a dollar short(Canadian 4 since a US $ is only worth $0.43). Welcome back and good training.

I dont do thinkin to wel aneemore, so I just do boring but big. core lift work sets, followed by 5 more sets of 10 of the core lift, and 5x10 of some antagonist lift. I do military/pulldown; deadlift/decline situps; Bench/Kroc rowz; accessories on squat for me are a little different, I do Ian King deadlifts supersetted with pulldown abz.

Hmmm… I looked at the BBB, but I did not think it would be enough. I think I will go with the Triumvirate routine to start… see how it is… make any adjustments from there.
