Back from Californ-I-eh… had a real fun time! The team ended up staying in Fremont, and we played at Cal State University on Hayward (Oakland I think?).

People down there were great to us, real nice! Got a chance to tour around (too quickly, dammit!), but I got to see the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz… which was cool. Did not have time to actually take the ferry from Pier 39 (?) to the island, but still cool none the less.

Made it to the semi-finals on Saturday, a couple of ou guys got hurt… dislocated shoulder, broken thumb/ hand and a blown out knee… but we played, then we got smoked! But all in all it was fun.

Then we went out Saturday night to a Country and Western Bar… and had A LOT of beer. This place was great, had a live band… people were pretty friendly too. I think the place was called “The Saddle Ranch”.

They had this thing there called an “Oxygen Bar”… where people actually go inside the bar, they are then hooked up to oxygen… for what purpose I have no idea, but I had never seen that before. I asked 2 people what they were doing that for, and they looked at me, did not answer and walked away shaking there heads. Wtf? So, I have no idea… looked pretty damn silly to me.

I am pretty damn sore still… few scrapes and bruises, few tender joints and muscles/ tendons, so I will be taking one more day off then getting back into it (lifting).

Thanks for dropping by…[/quote]

Sounds like a good time to me! I think I need one of those Oxygen bar things.

Oxygen bar? heard of such a thing, but somehow just seems wrong.

I am embarrassed for the Bay Area. On behalf of all residents of the area, I apologize for the existence of such a ridiculous thing.

Bunny -

I wish I hadn’t had prior committments for the weekend; I would have loved to see you in action.

No problem DCA… maybe next time, we have been invited back next year.

In the meantime… I have caught one helluva chest cold, fever, aches and pains… shit. Going back to bed. Later.

Get your rest Bunny, and thank you for alerting me to the problems with net fishing…

Fever finally broke… I have not been this sick in a long long time. Gonna give it one more day, if I am not feeling better by tomorrow goin’ to the docs. Going back to bed. Peace.
