Bulldog: Working on regaining man card

Ok… im calling it once I hit 50 lbs now ,after some self elevation.

  • My bodyfat is at health level for a normal healthy male. Not super lean but healthy and appropriate for my current goal.
  • Blood pressure is now in the normal range now
  • Ive lost over 10 inches off my waiste line .
  • Psychologically bitting at the bit of the notion of having more productive lifting sessions due to improved recovery.
  • I can see my winky now when I stand and pee pee.
  • At the moment i have “ old man” abs
  • Seeing vascularity in arms and shoulders and a little in my legs.
  • Muscle separation is more pronounced .

This is where my currently stance is on things at the moment.

Absolutely the right call there dude! Chasing that leanness dragon can be a dangerous game. Definitely fallen for it myself. You know now that you have all the tools and abilities to get even leaner if that ever is your goal, but giving your body and hormones a chance to get some grub is going to be very positive.

The 12 year old in you speaks the the 12 year old in me.

Yeah like I mentioned several times since being back in the fold. My main focus and goal was leaning up enough just so I could focus on regaining some lean muscle and strength, which I had lost from my layoff dealing with the psychological changes from my wife’s death.
Being realistic about it I was too far gone to even consider any type of “ recomp” approach going back in. This required a damn sledge hammer just to get myself to a solid starting place just to get the ball rolling again.

Yeah no damn urge to chase the dragon. Did that plenty in my youth. I have no urge to ever put on a banana hammock and jump on stage again. But as you correctly pointed out the option of leaning out more is still on the table. Obviously after going through a regain phase and allowing a better position to do so.

What sucks at this point from past experience is that I have to wait patiently. As my ligaments and tendons play catch up and readapt.

My Bully was being overly affectionate and accidentally got me with one of his snaggle tooth, when I pushed him away.

After tomorrow’s weigh in. I might just pull the plug on this diet phase and start phase 2. Based on how my body feels at the moment along with that my recovery is almost nonexistent at the moment. I pretty sure my old carcass is telling me ive been running in a deficient for too long at 6 months which seems to be its breaking point.

Diet break last night. Ate at a local Hawaiian barbecue for dinner last night. Bloated this morning and BW is way up as expected but energy level is through the roof. Game plan is tomorrow to start the reverse diet .
