Bulldog: Working on regaining man card

Actually have one.

Hey man, sorry for the delay. In the middle of a move so computer access has been limited. I can send a photo of the set up next time I make it to my gym, but I have no idea when that’ll be haha.

This is my power rack for reference: image

Caveat: I’ve only ever used this method with a mini-band but it should apply to and thickness. What I do is take the spotter arms and put them on either side of the rack, outside of the frame. Take your band and slide one of the spotter arms through it, then put a 45lb plate over it. Stretch the band over the base and slide the other arm through it, with another 45lb plate on top. Then I take my bench and stick it on top of the stacks of 45lb weights on the weight tree. I’m 6’ tall so I needed the full height for enough clearance.

Here is a hilariously crude drawing of what the rough set up looks like: image

Hope this helps!

@mr.v3lv3t tried your set up… instead of plates my rack is equipped with band pegs so I was able to anchor them that way. Worked great :+1: thanks much better then what I was doing.

No problem dude! Band pegs are perfect for that, glad it worked out.

I own one and never use it. It moves around too much on me. Much prefer to just turn a SSB around.

My experience exactly.

I havent come across anyone be it online or i know personally who are giving it a stellar view.

I’m starting to feel it might be in my best interest psychologically to stay out of the other subforums as of late.

Bench: 3x8 @ 250lbs… fairly easy. But stuff is still a little off.

Incline db press: 30/3 @ sw TR 39… i havent done these regularly in years. Went light thank God the coordination wasn’t there at all.

Also I cheated…

Dips: 30 total reps in several sets. Ok this surprised me. Because they felt easy.

Arm curls straight bar: :fu:
Single arm db Scott curl: :fu:

Those dumbbell racks look really cool! Who makes those?

I got those through Titian equipment. Had them for awhile and just now starting to use them. Mostly because I’m not going to clean db in position when I start going heavy. Not with the db handles i have… it could get ugly real fast.

Thanks! Is that a Rogue rack you’ve got? I’m wondering if they’ll fit on a non-Titan rack.

Its a Titian rack…Rogue is for rich people.lol

Thats no lie… half of the accessories I could order for that rack model are out of stock currently.

So let’s see if I got this straight based off the mentality of some on line.

So lifting weights for more strength related goals is all about ego?

But… lifting purely for appearance isn’t?

I think that what that really is, is people that don’t know how to train for strength or are jealous that others are stronger than they are. Some guys have to be the biggest guy in the room. Actually had a guys switch gyms a few years back because I started lifting there with my training partner at the time. He and his crew couldn’t hang with us weight wise (The guy was huge and jacked though) so they switched to Lord’s or something where he was stronger than everyone else there. Silly.
