First truly dedicated upper back session in years.
Pull ups: 25 total reps
Rack Pull (slightly below knee): Top set of 405 x 6 ,325 x 10… Focused on engaging the upper back through the movement.

Rack rows: 5 x 12 @ 185 lbs … nothing heavy focused on contracting and getting the elbows back.

V handle pull downs: 3 x 12 @ SW

Its been a long time since I have truly felt the meat coming off the bone. The volume was a shock to the system.

Hell yeah!

Deep into the new powerbuilding approach. On a side note those who don’t like the term can bite me.

Squat: 3x8 @ 70% ( based off a comfortable single).im not listing the amount because its damn pathetic at the moment. Plus I dont feel like eating shit . Still at the mercy of the parfamoris… notice a slight twinge towards the end of 2nd set. Also I haven’t dialed in the change in style.

Ssbar front squats. 3 x 12 @ sw.

Banded leg extensions: 50 total reps… havent figured how to set these up optimally.

Banded standing crunches: 5x 10

Well on a good note… im seeing slight improvement. Got a feeling its going to take a bit for things to get back in gear…in my rear.

I came up with a pretty solid set up for banded leg extensions, I’ll need to be on a computer to explain it though so just leaving this as a reminder.

I would love to hear about it… other wise ill will have to come up with another option

Playing with the notion of getting a front squat harness. Since i like having options.

At first I looked into Titian equipment which have them listed at only $75 . Yeah there is a reason for that because its only rated up to 320lbs. Looks like I’m going to spend double and go with Elitefts since they are claiming a rating of 800lbs.

Hey BD, ive used one of these at the strongman gym when i did squat, wasnt overly keen on it, very uncomfortable, personally i preferred the safety bar Hatfield overload squat.

Check out Getstrength in New Zeland. I don’t remember the rating for theirs which is identical.

They do work well, I tried one for about 3 months, but I also think the SSB bar gives same effect.

Thanks for the input… ill take it into consideration since I haven’t committed myself as of yet either way.

yeah i know they say the ssbar delivers the same relative effect. But I honestly can say I’m not getting it fully with mine…

Have you considered trying a Stingray? I don’t remember how it felt, it’s been a long time since I was around one, but Hatfield used to push them pretty hard.
