My next door neighbor has had 4 swimming parties with about 20 people each over the last 2 months. Our town now has more virus cases than New Orleans. The guys who cut my grass up North each tested positive week before last in a backwoods tourist town of about 800 people. Sundayās NYT had article on Canadians roughing up cars with American license plates to help stop Americans sneaking into Canada.
Darwin theories at work here.
One last thing. I watched the āgreat coursesā lectures on the black death. 14th century people had exactly the same reactions as Iāve been seeing. However, a despot ruler in a walled town in northern Italy walled up 3 houses w/all occupants inside where each house had one plague victim. That town avoided plague for years while it decimated everywhere else.

They canceled it for High School here.
I know there has been positive results in several coaches and players in several local schools. Will be curious in seeing what the limit will be before the plug is pulled.

I think the world misjudged the desire of our culture to party.
Yeah i would say cultural differences are playing a huge role in it.
It doesnāt matter if itās a medical expert whoās been in the same position since the Reagan administration, or a Marine general with a stellar career, or a dead Vietnam vet, or a dead World War II vet - if a certain someone who got 4 draft deferments and isnāt a medical expert tweets that they donāt like them, millions of people will immediately hate those people too. Itās been fascinating to watch.

Governor here in his weekly covid updateā¦ stated they were concern regarding another spike in cases. Since it happen following after the 4th of july holiday. Now with the labor day holiday around the corner ,let the fun begin.
Also he mentioned concern over the lack of compliance in their established guidelines. Well no shit!! You make a mandate regarding certain thing and you back off on any penalties! You nutless fool! Relying on the notion that other would do it for civic pride and concern for others!
