Well, if you’d like to trade places . . . work part time and barely make enough money to live on . . .
Yeah ,But I bet you enjoy what your doing. Mine is a job and not a career.
Guilty as charged.
Good pulling. How’s the other pup doing?
Then I think you need a job. You know something that makes you get up in the morning and just dreading the next 8 hours plus.
Well, the kid managed to get to my level of squatting. After just a few weeks of training. And I’ve been pounding at for decades. As hard as I could. Why am I wasting my time?

I wouldnt beat your self up…There’s a few things you need to take in consideration
hes been physically active in sports since he was 5 years old.
Hes young and going through puberty
hes got someone coaching him whom has a general grasp on the subject.

What age did BP start lifting? I’m sure you’ve said and I probably asked before. My 3 year old is very into lifting with me (read: playing in my gym) I’m thinking 11-12 would be about the right age to start him with some basic stuff.

My advice Dday, BW stuff before he starts puberty, I know things have changed. However I worry about heavy loads on growth plates that have not closed yet. I mean why take the chance?

that’s about what I was thinking too. Give him a broom handle and teach him proper bar path etc. You know the shit I’m trying to figure out myself at 37 because no one ever showed me the right way.

I honestly didnt get him started until just a few weeks shy of his 13 th birthday last summer. The wife wouldnt let me start him sooner because of what a pediatrician told her.
Bench : Bar x 20
95 x 10
135 x 5 x 5
190 x 5
225 x 4
260 x 3
290 x 2
305 x 1
320 x 1
340 x 1…Felt light as hell, Paused it for at least a three count flew up fast and easy
270 x 16…didnt go nuts on the back off set left some in the tank
Incline Bench: 2 x 8 x 250
BTN Press: 3 x 10 x light weight
Skull crushers : 2 x 12 x SW
Scott arm curls: 3 x 12 x SW
Got to say it was a pretty easy session , Other then my upper back was feeling slightly fatigue but it was all good… 5 more bench sessions left until the Meet. Feeling pretty damn healthy no aches or pains and the strength is there. So all in all im feeling pretty good for June at this point.

I’m still thinking I’m going to watch you do at least 425 in June.
EHHHH…Will see. I think it would be more then doable if i was doing bench only.
