Will do …I will post a video Saturday night. I am afraid Dakota due to his competative nature he might be taking his first meet to serious.
Hope Dakota surpasses his expectations and is content with his performance…tear it up!
I bet your a proud Dad on this upcoming meet. You will be handling him right? So let him know its himself he’s competing with and no one else.

Oh im a proud dad regardless if he does a meet or not. yep im handling him. Ive already explained to him that are goals are just to get a total and have fun with it his first time out. I also let him know im not going to pick attempts for him unless I feel he can smash it.

2 x 5 x 290
dead lifts: 185 x5
230 x 4
275 x 3

385 x 1

Shrugs: 225 x 100 done in a rest pause fashion
Nothing heavy …just got some work in.
Bet your traps are going to grow or feel like squashed hams after all those shrugs.

actually they didn’t bother me afterwords.
Incredible performance! The choices for attempts was right on and every lift looked technically great. Must be a proud Papa and Pup.

I was a bloody nervous wreck!!! I was more tired then he was at the end of the day. For the record that’s the number one rule on are end …good form first over weight in training. I’m just happy that philosophy worked for his first meet.
Congrats to Dakota. Just watched the pulls and I wish my form looked like his!

Seriously, looking at Dakotas proportions I got a feeling hes a natural puller…
Congrats to your son for being strong, and for lifting with such great form. Really impressive.
…probably had some good coaching I’d bet… ![]()

Thanks…cant take all the credit.
UGH… spent some time working on reworking my deadlifting form today . Basically did allot of work to really focus on the hip hinging and activate the glutes while limiting quad use. I think my ass is getting ready to cramp.

Think about it…
Great job Dakota!
Great coaching as well.
