Well the more I think about it ,I definitely think after this upcoming Meet that im going to call Whole sale slaughter on my upper back. I’ve come to the realization that my upper back is honestly weak and i really need to just hammer the hell out of it, from my Traps on down. Allot of weight and a shit load of volume.
DB rows: 110 x 25…Passed on the T Bar to save the lower back for Sunday training.
Pull downs close grip: 4 x 10 x SW
Shrugs : 3 x 10 x 405
Axel bar arm curls: 2 x 10 x SW
I’d like to have your weak back and be able to bench around 450 like you do! But I hear you, I just figured out the exact same thing- I’m addiing in lots of pull ups and rows in the next couple of months.
450?? Not quite there yet my friend. But I will say my weak upper back is why I haven’t hit 450 yet and why my Deadlift has one foot in the grave.

Did I also tell you I dont bench any more. ![]()
Just floor press, so half a bench.
OK dokey
Based on your high reps set with close to 300 you aren’t far off from a 450 BP

That might be true. But when I do press around the 400 mark my lats along with my upper back like to let me know that the weight is getting a little heavy. Hopefully by really working the crap out of them seriously with more focus will correct that issue.

Makes sense my friend. I hope it works and you blast right past 450.

The only questions remaining are
Where is the meet being held?

Sorta was in a Kill em all mood this evening. I wasn’t schedule to train until tomorrow but something inside told me to do it.
Warm up : PVC pipe
Band GMs/standing ab crunches
light stretching
Squats: Bar x 2 x 10
135 x 2 x 5
225 x 3
270 x 5
310 x 4
365 x 3
400 x 2
425 x 1
445 x 1 …added Belt
470 x 1…Flew the fuck up out of the hole, Put on a set of knee wraps still not sure if im going to wear them at the Meet or just stick with my sleeves since I don’t notice much of a difference.
Deads (off 4" block): 135 x 5 ** all set on all pulls belt less and done dead stop
225 x 3
275 x 5
330 x 4
385 x 3
440 x 2
470 x 1
495 x 1
510 x 1…Had to grind this one out, the freaking bar actually stopped because it dug into my actual knee…note to self make sure I actual take Baby powder for the Meet.
Deads: ( from floor) 3 x 3 x 440
Speed pulls: 10 singles x 330
Standing Band crunches: 5 x 15
Well not a bad session needless to say im a little petered out. Made up for missing a pull from last week. Going to have to get out the pumas stone the wife got me to file down my callouses on my hand. I’m starting to notice their getting thick enough to effect gripping the bar.
Hard Core.
Damn, Bulldog. Great work…powerful work. Heck, SO MUCH work.

I wouldnt go that far…

UGH ,so much work is right,

Wow ,only 7 sessions left before I shut it down and rest up for the next Meet. At this point things have been going fairly well since I started this peaking cycle with only a few minor glitches so far. I’m a little tire at this point but nothing major and I’m feeling pretty healthy with no major aches or pains so that’s a plus. As it stands im going to stick what I originally mapped out for the Meet.
Squats: At this point I got a feeling I’m going to just man handle my third planned attempt with zero problem. If I end up leaving “lbs” on the platform so be it.
Bench: Well I can honestly say so far my actual strength has gone threw the roof, at least my repetitive strength. As Dave Basler has pointed out going by what I did on a back off set a few weeks ago my estimated max should be near 440. Since I don’t put a whole lot of stock in max estimates, I ll just take the conservative route and go for a low 400 on my third.
Deads: I have no clue on this FUCKING BASTARD right now. Its actually showing signs of life again and stopped over analysing every aspect of the lift and just started lifting the fucking bar off the ground. First and second attempts will be no problem but the third might be a bitch…Hopefully I wouldnt be wasted at this point and will have some “Meet magic” going on .
Regardless , my only true goal is just crushing my total from my last Meet and maybe go 9 for 9.
Seems like all your numbers are up. 510 raw DL is great. Please take meet vids.
And what’s wrong with a petite frame?

In reality 510 for me makes me sad… I was pulling 550 after only being back at it for six months when i started back up this go around. There’s no reason I souldnt be pulling 6 plus right now. Other then I tried to be smart and changed stuff that was working.
No worries Ill video always do.
Petite is fine for a lady…
