OK, fine. You suck. You’re a puny runt. Everyone else is benching 18 wheelers while you can only handle 320 for bodybuilder reps.
Happy now?
Come on, Dog. If everyone could be another Kazmaier, he wouldn’t be anything special.

they are both super strong and I am sure that if you followed there path you could get that strong but I dont think you would follow that path. for a all natural lifter who gets his strength from nothing but cow fish and chicken you are super strong… you have to compare apples to apples…
Come on BD…its definitely the right move not being satisfied and all, but weak is not something I would put in the same sentence as you.
That Rhino video is so insane! Great lifting man.

I of all people know what you mean. But, Damn I curse my self imposed misguided philosophy at times.

Yeah hes what I would consider the type of BB I would have emulated in my younger days . He has the look and the strength to back it.
I would like to apologies for my whining. I’m dealing with subconsciously with the fact that my B day is fast approaching . This will be the big one for me number “40”. The true start of a mid life crisis. DAMN… I feel my youth and innocence slowly slip away ( sob).

8/28/11
warm up: super set band GM’s/ 3 x 10
light stretching
Squat: bar x 10
135 x 10
205 x 5
255 x 5
310 x 3
335 x 5
385 x 5
435 x 5…only did 2 my upper body was just fried from yesterdays benching .
Speed deads: 10 sets of 1 X 305 + 80 lbs of chains…actually pretty happy plenty of speed and pop.
GM’s ( cambered bar) 3 x 10 x 135 …really focused on form and just working the muscles involved
Side bends: 3 x 8 x 70
Standing band ab crunches: 5 x 10 x medium band
Not going to sulk about the squatting. I knew things weren’t going to go as planned since doing two back to back sessions without a day between doesn’t work for me.
Oh, no, Bulldog’s going to have a mid-life crisis. I have an image of him throwing on the do-rag, buying a Harley, driving off to New York and joining the Rescue Ink group of tough guys who rescue abused animals:

LOL hahahaha good one.
On a serious note dude your strong you total over 1400 or close to it raw in the 242’s right? That is in the top 1% of all the people in the world. That is actually in the the top 5% of people who actually hit weights on a regular basis.
On a MORE serious note : You’re an INSPIRATION to your SONS with your coaching and being a FATHER to them. I am very envious of you that you are training your sons at your age. We are the same age but I will be 50 when my son is 11-12.
good lifting here man slow and steady.
what Fischer said.
Dog, I would give a kidney to have had a father like you. I can only watch with envy as your boys stay active and enjoy sports.
Oh, and Fischer, don’t worry about the age. I’m 55 and can keep up with any whippersnapper, so you’ll be fine.

Well i do feel less down on myself after you put those numbers in context for me. Like i mentioned the whole notion of turning 40 is sorta im just going to have to deal with. Plus, allot of my hang up is the fact after 3 years im just now starting to approach some old numbers from my younger days.
I don’t see how im being any sorta inspiration to my sons. I mean isn’t what ones suppose to do as a father? But the more I think about what your saying its kinda of sad in this day and age there’s allot of kids that don’t have that. In retrospect ive ran into a few dads I wouldn’t piss on if they where on fire.
If you want Ill send my two demons up your way for a week. You’ll be happy that your own are still young. My are at the stage where you just want to hug them so tight there little heads pop off.

Some how I see Matty in that picture some where.

Well before anyone ask me. No the Bull pup isn’t lifting right now. Between 5 days a week of Football. Not to mention a PE teacher who’s been shoving cross fit style workouts down his students throats several times a week. Ive had to do the prudent thing and hold off on the weight training. As soon as season is over BP will be back in the garage.
After Fischers comment what else can be said.
Go buy a fast car or a Harley ![]()

The wife would prefer I buy a Harley.
Catching up.
You definitely have to give knee wraps a fair shake. I get a good gain outta them and really love 'em. I’ve started wrapping my coach and am getting really damn good at it! Could vid for you next week if you’re still wanting to see wrapping styles.
Midlife crisis, eh? I’m sure more than one of us has been there.

or a glute ham raise… oh wait already did that
Bulldog,
Let the boys up here. I am in Naperville west suburb of Chicago. We can run a “conditioning class” with them. Sled/tire/sledgehammer/sprints/bodyweight exercises.
I love kids that age and seriously man you are a great example as a Dad and how you help with your kids training is awesome. Kudos to you.
Small world! My brother lives in Rockford and his son is going to college in Chicago. Alas, neither seem interested in hard core athletics.
