Thanks for the Dead Squats article, that’s good stuff. Great job to the Pup. MMA future? Wrestling seems to be the best base…

Edit: Dead squats similar to Anderson Squats, no?[/quote]

I don’t know how awesome it is, But im feeling it still today.

Cool ,be interesting to see you nephew in action.

Yeah the dead squats are similar to the Anderson squats. With the dead squats just being done off pins. While the concept being the same. basically just working the concentric part of the lift.

MMA? Oh, hell no.The only future I would like to see for him connected to his wrestling would be a full scholarship to a good college.

Wow, your son had to fight a little bit for tha tone. He’s really, really, good at this, dude.

10 sets of 400 for squats is nothing to sneeze at, but I understand why you’re not over-joyed with it. It’s still really good.

Actually I spend a good part of my free time reading his stuff. Matter of fact I seen where you had commented on one of his post. All in all I cant find a single thing that he says that I disagree with. Matter of fact allot of what he has to say jives with my own views.

Its 50 degrees today. Normally I would not go to the “Y” BUT…I’m benching today with some ok weight. I’m in the zone and there a handful of Bro tards whose egos need to be brought down. besides im feeling like a Ass hole today anyway.

1/30/12

Realization phase 5’s wave

Warm up: light db & band movements

Bench: Bar X 20
95 x 10
135 x 5

   185 x 5
   225 x 3
   260 x 2
   280 x 1
   300 x 1
320 x 9 1/2.......DAMN IT!!!!!! I wanted 10 bar fell out of groove and I couldnt lock out. On a good note I think I pissed a Bro tard off. Looks like Ill only be bumping my Training max by 5 lbs.

Flat DB: 100 x 20,13…OK im happy over the easy 20 reps.

OK at this point I had to sit on my ass for 30 plus minutes waiting on the rack to do my Dead benching. Which I would not have minded …BUT. The guy in the rack was doing 1/8 squats not 1/4 but 1/8!!! He started a few minutes after I started benching. He started at 135 and pyramided up to 275. It went like this …135,185,225,275 for low reps then he did a reverse pyramid. What pissed me off was he was taking up to 5-10 minutes between sets where he would BULL SHIT with a few of the other guys.. At one point I felt a throbbing in my temple. I was having evil thoughts of taking a bar and going all Vlad the Impaler on his ass.

Dead bench: 4 x 1 x 295

Hammer curls : 3 x 10 x SW

AB Wheel: skipped due to time . No thanks to MR. 1/8 squats. Needed to get home to the family.

Well that’s all she wrote. Not what I was hoped for but it wasn’t a total bust. Next time Ill take advantage of the nice weather and stay in the garage.

RANT WARNING

OK IM DONE!!! According to this guys hub hes 24 5’11 and 180 lbs with 2 years of training. Not to be a Dick…OK yes im being a Dick. Seriously…2 years??? The guy is still a novice at best. But he wants to get certified to be a PT. Honestly would someone tell this guy to get some actual time under the bar. Maybe learn to actual train himself!!!
Before he takes some B.S. certification.

I’m sorry but Ive seen to many PT’s since Ive been back at lifting whom didnt know there ass from a hole in the ground!!! Christ Ive forgotten more shit then some of these guys know. And the shit I forgot was worthless to begin with. Of course its the shit that these PTs use. That’s all we need in the world another PT who cant teach proper form nor programming…Rant over :frowning:

I love your rants and would miss them tremendously if you stopped posting them.

As much as id like to accept your compliment. I cant. Maybe when I hit a 1800 unequipped total then I might agree with you.

OK quick story regarding yesterday.I need to go into more detail regarding whom I pissed off with my display of power. It was 1/8 squatter man. I forgot to metion that he had a aura of badassness. At any rate after I got done with my set I noticed from the corner of my eye he was eyeballing me. Lets just say it was one major look of disdain. This went on pretty much the entire time he was there. you know im not a smart man…But come on. Why would you keep giving shit looks at a person who you don’t know and who just repped out 45 more lbs on the bench then what you just squatted for a single.( I use the term squatted pretty damn loosely here). Obvious someone suffers from low self esteem issues.
