370 for 10… really you should try to just do the warm up and see if you can 20 reps…cause I dont feel enough like a puss yet
Not really concerned about 20 reps. If the 370 x 10 makes you feel less then manly. Then you might not want to look at next weeks log entry on squats. Next squat session is the Realization phase where I will go to complete failure and not leaving anything in the tank.

I bet you’re counting down the days until it warms up and you can get back to your home gym. Commercial gyms suck so bad this time of year. Great lifting as always Mr. BD.
Luckily, the weather hasn’t been that bad. Hopefully I wont have to go to the Y as often as I normally would this time of year.
I sure wish we could get something a little more hardcore going as far as a gym… we have enough equipment between us… What time do you lift I didnt go to night shift so maybe we could go to the high school together

There you go with a few more odds and ends we could start are own wharehouse gym.
245 x 2
270 x 2
290 x 5,5,5,13.......Damn, my right Hammie cramped on the last rep
Dead bench: 3 x 1 x 285
Flat DB presses: 2 x 15 x 100…I haven’t done these since last year. I can honestly say I was toying with this weight.
Hammer curls : 3 x 10 x SW
AB wheel: 5 x 10
All in all it wasn’t a bad little session. It was pretty dead at the YMCA tonight. There was a total of three people at any given time including myself. I had to get some young kid to spot me on my last set. He might have been between 17 - 19 range. It was funny after my last set the kid was standing there with his jaw hanging open. He said," man your strong". I replied " I’m just old". But seriously, Between doing Meets and some of the guys we have on this site I just don’t see myself as that strong. I later spotted the kid on the bench for 3 x 10 x 85. So im guessing in his mind im a freak. I have to say I watch the kid for a while between my sets. I will give him credit he was putting effort in what he was doing. Unfortunately, like 99% of the young guys that go there he was doing all the wrong things. Such as cable cross overs, one arm cable push downs and curls. I stuck with my own rule not to give advice since doing so violates some new gym etiquette. Damn it…I hate seeing someone trying only to see them spin there wheels.
Toying around with hundred pound Dbs? Only one of the PLers in the Over 35 Lifter forum. I hear ya on the “man your strong” remark. Some guy came up to me & asked if my (seriously) fat ass was a power lifter after a set of triceps extensions. Time for a new prescription for him I think! You should go ahead & take the kid under your wing; surely you can use another pup, right? Real nice work today. Can’t wait to se that squat day next week - I need to feel less manly than I already do, lol.
Regarding strength . . . everything is relative. You most definitely are strong. It’s an elite little community here of really crazy-strong people. I feel like the ugly powerlifting stepsister to O and Lil Power when I read their logs. But truly, I can count on one hand the number of women I’ve seen in my gym who squat and DL as much as me when I’m healthy. (Notice I left out the bench.)

Well I was surprised how little effort it actually took for the rep out the pair of 100’s.
Ive said in the past regarding the guy you mentioned who asked if you are a power lifter. Is the fact how unimportant strength has become in the weight room. Heck it seems 150 lbs guy with a six pack can get more respect then a guy that can bench 400 plus.
As for taking the kid under my wing…nope. Ive wasted my time given advice when asked in the past. Besides , Ill be coaching my oldest in the garage again when his wrestling season is over. On top of that I might start the youngest when he hits 13 this summer if he ever start showing signs of puperty.

Very true … Which is why I guess I have a skewed notion of what strong is. Which makes it hard for me to relate seeing a full grown man struggling with 80 pounds on a bench or 95 on a 1/4 squat.
Interesting convo…I will say this Bulldog, if I saw you at my gym I would be following you asking you questions and being uber annoying…what the hell is a six pack anyway?

To be honest, if I was at your gym I would probably ask you if you would be interested in training together.
What are your thoughts on Juggernaut? A keeper or too soon to tell?

Still to early to tell at this point. I will say that my sub maximal rep numbers are moving forward. Not to mentioned that im not feeling as beat up. The only question is if my actual 1 RM is moving in the right direction.
