Bulldog and Bullpup Log Part 2

Treadmill: 30 minutes 1% grade @ 3 mph

Well I found out when not to go to the YMCA. Apparently at 6:00 PM is when the Bro tards start to come in. The recently graduated high school jocks. Whom weren’t good enough to move on to college . Apparently this group still has the jock mentality . I guess they come in with the mind set that they own the weight room. Apparently they cant come with the grip that there status has changed .That there in the real world and there no longer the Alphas they might have been when the where in school. I hope that I don’t find myself having to be there doing that time. I would hate to have to put one of these clueless ego driven boys in there place. I know that this might sound immature, but I don’t have the patients to deal with that kind of Bull shit. Definitely not if im in a training mind set and my aggression level is up. Oh well, More then likely ill end up having to bite my tongue at one point during the next few weeks…

Well at this point Ive only got about six training weeks left on doing Juggernaut training. At this point I haven’t really come to a conclusion on if its a good program for me at this point. On the plus side at this point I am noticing a improvement on my actual work capacity. Now the big question is, how much this will translate into improving my actual 1 Rm down the road? I will probably have a general idea as I enter the 3’s wave of the program.

do you think that the extra work capacity will help with the lat cramps that you seem to get at a meet… that seems to be a issue with meets…

I go to a commercial gym and do everything I can to avoid Brotard Time. When I was in HS I knew my place in the gym and I was shown proper gym manners. The new generation thinks training is standing around 4 deep at a free motion arm machine checking thier text messages and drinking vitamin water-GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY WAY IM TRAINING-is what I wanna say.

In honesty It a pull not a crap. Considering it takes a few weeks to clear ups when it occurs. In reality I cant say for certain if improving my actual work capacity will help since Ive never actual pin pointed the root cause.

Well Ive mentioned this in the past. Part of my negative view regarding the state of gym culture is due to my first gym experience. When I first got bit by the iron bug back in the day, I started going to a hard core gym. It was a mom and pop type gym a half hour from my home. The guy who owned it hosted the majority of AAU Bodybuilding contest in Indiana. So the gym had a very serious feel to it. The crap that you see in most gyms now of days would not have flown there.

crazy mom club-crazy mom = lifetime hard core lifters…sounds right to me.

Enjoyed reading your log, man. Putting up great numbers AND entertaining = good combination. I’ll keep watching.

Accumulation phase 5’s wave

warm up: Light db movements and band

MPress: bar x 20
95 x 5
135 x 3
------------------------- 170 x 5,5,5,5,5,15…maybe 2 left in the tank. Alright , the over all work volume starting to get nuts

Pull downs : 4 x 10 x SW

Shoulder shockers: 2 x 8 x SW

Tate presses: 4 x 10 x SW

arm curls: 3 x 8 x I HATE THESE!!!The most boring movement on the PLANET!!!

Well did the Y again. Not as entertaining as Friday. Tomorrow its going to be a high of 50 degrees the down to 28 Wednesday. I’m going off schedule a little and squat tomorrow in the garage due to the slick flooring they have at the Y.

Well we got my youngest son a physical for wrestling. This will be interesting. Hes 12 and his weight is a whole 83 pounds at 4 foot 9. DAMN !! I think some of my genes didnt trickle down.

Lifting at a University gym I get a lot of the brotard issues. Over time they have found it best to just stay out of my way but I have gone GI Joe on a few of them.

Nice volume today, man. If it makes you feel any better, I do the Y thing every time I go. Don’t go GI Joe, though. Stories of those could be entertaining, Joe.

Maybe our boys were switched at birth? I was scrawny at 11, but my boy is about 5’, 160 at 11. If he didn’t have autism, I’d be pushing him for football & wrestling; as it is, he has no interest, alas.

Trust me Ive been showing pretty good self restraint. But ,Damn. I d like to go up to someone and ask them what the hell there doing.

Its kinda of funny . I have two boys who are 13 months apart. There like Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito in the move Twins.

Ive have had the opportunity to coach two different boys in youth football who had autism.

Treadmill 5 minutes
some light stretching
super set: Band GM’s/standing ab crunches 3 x 10

Squat: Bar x 10
135 x 5

Step ups: 3 x 8 x light wight

GM’s:(strict) 3 x 8 x 195

Side bends 3x8x85

Standing band crunches: 5 x 10

EHHHH. Pretty much sums it up for today. I was slightly fatigued from yesterday. I was able to get some decent work in but it wasn’t a barn burner .

Good looking squats dog. Then 10 set at the end was a nice finish.

370 for 10… really you should try to just do the warm up and see if you can 20 reps…cause I dont feel enough like a puss yet

Treadmill: 3.1 mph @1% 33 minutes

Thanks. I was just going for the called for reps. On this phase its suggested to leave one or two in the tank on the last set.

I bet you’re counting down the days until it warms up and you can get back to your home gym. Commercial gyms suck so bad this time of year. Great lifting as always Mr. BD.
