Did you have ANY idea how we were going to respond to this one . . . ?
That’s not what I meant…
I know. : )
Anyway, at least your wife supports you and that’s good. You have so much raw strength, just get the form good enough to pass the judges and you’ll do fine.
^^^ If anything I will see if not trying not to be emotionally worked up in training has benefit me during the Meet when I will have to actually turn up the aggression.
MPress: bar x 20…OK, my shoulders weren’t feeling right.Played it smart and went to plan 9
Close grip bench: worked up to 2 x 3 x 290 plus 80 lbs chains…surprisingly this didnt bother my shoulders.
seat db presses: 4 x 10 x some weight
Pull downs: 4 x 8 x some weight
Shrugs: 3 x 15 x 315
Arm curls (EZ bar): 3 x 8 x some weight
Bench sit ups: 3 x 20
Well that about it. Ive got one more week of heavy stuff. After that im going into a semi deload period for a few weeks just to maintain. Give my broken down carcass time to rebound for the Meet. Between doing that and not messing around with dropping weight I should come in fresh and ready to go on the platform.
Squat : bar x 10
135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 3
340 x 2
390 x 1
445 x 5…only got 4, I can say it was more of a mental thing then physical.
Speed deads: 4 singles with 315 plus 80 lbs of chains
4 singles with 315…Bar speed was slowing so I removed the chains.
GHR: 3 x 10…did two sets with band assisted, one with out. I’m kind of surprised by that.
Side bends: 3 x 8 x 80
Standing band crunches: 2 x 25
Well considering that when I do sessions two days in a row normally the second suffers. In this case it did a little but not as bad as I thought. Of course I should have held off until tomorrow. Oh well.
How many weeks of deload do you think you need? I did one and was in great shape for the meet.
Dear God . . . 445 squats for reps, and could have done more . . . 315 deads with chains and you did those FOR SPEED . . . and this wasn’t even your best day. Your biggest problem at the meet is convincing people you never competed before. Seriously.

U better smash 500 at the meet 445x4 is heavy work
Good lifting sick dog
Cant argue on that one. Considering I did 470 X 3 last week with some left in the tank. There’s no physical reason I should easily blow 500 plus out of the water. If not then it will be a mental thing and not physical.
You better perform I am bringing a friend with me and I have been talking you up like your Stan Effereding to him.

No pressure… really I am bringing a friend and his girl to the meet but I have not been talking up up any more than a 400 Bench a 500 squat and a 600 deadlift… those are all obtainable right

500 plus squat…Yep as long as I don’t psyche myself out and choke.
400 bench…more then likely as long as the planets are align in the proper position
600 dead…Not a chance in HELL… This go around its not even a blimp on the Radar.
bench bar x 20
95 x 10
135 x 5
225 x 5
265 x 3
310 x 2
350 X 1…(opener) paused it and pressed it easy. The hardest part was lowering it because my bicep was killing me.
band pull aparts: 3 x 20
Screw it!!!
Change of plans. I’m going ahead and starting to tapper back. My left bicep and shoulder has been screaming murder most of the day. Like I stated before at this point I’m not going to get any stronger between now and the Meet. So my goal right now is maintain what strength I have and allow my body to bounce back since its starting to send me warning signals that its not happy with me at this point. It would be nice going into a Meet not being totally beat up or just totally wasted for a change of pace.
