The main thing is I realize that I was starting the squat the wight off the floor instead of actually pulling the weight. Going a little wider stance allows me to do the teeter totter concept that Tate talks about below starting at 2:40.

Went back and looked at your original deads. Nice work! What was the bar, about 600 or so? That’s twice what I can do.

Yeah, I pretty much have the same problem. Strength and size are pretty much the same thing to me, can’t have one without the other. Don’t know if I’ll ever get up to your strength/size level, but that’s what I’m shooting for.

And if you compare yourself to Richard Simmons one more time, I’m driving back over there and slap the shit out of you. : )

330 x 5…Felt a sharp pain in my left bicep. Threw my first rep off , but was able to get my reps.

2 board press:(paused) 365 x 3…After this set I shut it down. I’m not young and stupid…OK maybe not young. No since is risking a injury at this point

Bar front raises : 3 x 4 x 70

Band pull aparts: 2 x 20

UGH…I knew today was not going to be good in the first place. Well at least I got the main bench work done.

On another note…Damn ! im heavy right now. Can you say bloated hog. Time to clean up my eating habits .Time to say bye to some junk carbs…(sob)

I think that 330 for 5 is pretty solid work and I’d definitely be happy with that. The pain sucks though but it sounds like it was nothing serious.

You could always just do some sled work with your sons. I’m sure they would appreciate it…

No dieting. just leave everything alone till after the meet then you can break out the Banana Hammock out and diet down

Don’t panic I didnt say anything about cutting weight.I’m just talking about cutting out some of simple sugars along with the bread and pasta Ive been over indulging in.

Talk about no pressure. My whole thing was just to go into this Meet and have some fun. Now the wife expects me to perform. As she puts it where not spending all this money for entry fees and hotel room for you to half ass it. Thanks honey …

didnt say anything was wrong with it. just that he wasnt aloud to diet down before the meet and screw himself out of the strength he has gained
