Also great news on your son. Academics and sports are a winning combo and will take him places than a singular focus can’t.

If you were pulling like Adam then why did you change? That form looks good to me. You’re definitely strong enough to listen to your own voice. Unless you posted the question up in the BB forum…sorry, I had to get that cheap shot in there.

Basically I’m a idiot. I had two bad Meets in a row regarding deads so I went into a panic. So it started me down the road of over analyzing every thing. So I revamp how I was pulling which was a mistake on my part. the most embarrassing thing is Ive stuck with it. You know the saying, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Congrats on your boys being asked for the team. Hey, was there any doubt? They’ve both been active, you’ve encouraged them, trained them. How wonderful they’re being rewarded for their discipline.

God, Adam makes deadlifts look like poetry. You’ll get your form back. Don’t forget, you never could have built yourself into a big mass of muscle by letting self-doubt beat you.

I guess it a feather in my cap that I have two kids that are academic stand outs. Along with one being a stand out athlete on top of that.

470 x 3…Felt pretty easy. definitely had reps left in the tank.

Reverse Band deads: 225 x 5
315 x 3
365 x 2
420 x 1
470 x 3 singles…Went back to pulling with my old form. Felt great could have gone heavier but I wasn’t going to push it…Freaking should have went with my gut feeling and went back to my old form along time ago.

Just for the hell of it …(drop set)405 x 3

GHR: 3 x 10 (Band assisted)

Db side bends: 3 x 8 x 70…time to up the weight

straight leg sit ups 5 x 10

Pretty happy with squats today. They weren’t super explosive but I had plenty of control.

Damn solid work. Nice to see you happy with your deads.

Not really happy with them. They are what they are right now. After this upcoming Meet , my focus will be on getting them back up .

LOL…In all reality I suffer from “Strengthorexia”. In all reality strength has always been my obsession. Even when I was trying the BB thing when I was younger. Besides my philosophy is any size I might have is a byproduct of trying to get strong and not the goal in itself.

Its nothing that major. Other then my feet are just wider. Its almost a modified sumo but not as wide with my hands still outside.
