Ive Just turned 18 years old, My weight is 11.2 stone around 71kg and my Height is 6.2Foot. I want to start bulking, Ive only been doing weights for the last 2 years, I do have a slight toned muscular body but I’m still fairly skinny because o my height.
You know yourself that its hard to bulk up when you do lots of cardio. I’m training to be an Fitness Instructor, I do want a bulk but I dont want to be a huge bodybuilder. Ive got the next 4 months off college and I thought this would be the perfect time to get everything organised and go for it.
The last while my diet hasn’t been efficient enough for me and I know if I want to bulk up it needs to be sorted, for example at times I wasn’t even taking in my daily intake in calories and I burned must of the calories I took in so I was losing weight at times.
Ive agreed with my instructor that I’m only going to do cardio 2 days per week at the most and 4 days per week I’m doing a split workout with free weights that has been programed for me. Ive got myself a Muscle and Weight Gain Protein Shake that Ive started taking after workouts. So all I need know is to sort out my diet.
What I have been told is that I should be taking in protein, crabs and not eating bad fatty fats like Junk etc, taking in at least 5 to 6 small of average meals per say, eating at least every 3 hours.
The daily intake of calories is 2500 so I should be aiming for 3000/3500 right?. Another thing is somebody said try and stick away from not eating as much bread because its a complex carb. Is this all correct ?
I dont really know how much I can gain muscle and size wise in four months but Id like to reach the most that I can.
Here’s something below that Ive planned to eat after I got a little advice, Really good if you guys could help me on the way to a good diet.
Morning: Corn or Brain Flakes with a banana on top, plus a slice of toast.
After Workout: Protein Shake.
Lunch: 2 Sandwiches (4 pieces of bread) with Gammon and Cheese) and banana with water or milk Or an Omelet If I’m at home.
Dinner: Varies every night though normal includes, Potatoes, Veg, Pasta, Mince, Steak, Chicken or Fish.
Snack: Protein Shake
Late Snack: Toast & Cheese or Corn/Brain Flakes
Hope you can point me in the right direction, Thanks.
