Hey Coach. I have an obsession with the Snatch Grip High Pull, and i don’t squat or deadlift anymore. I want to try your Bulgarian Training Simplified for Bench Gains, so just wondering if i can replace the Squat and Deadlift variaions that is prescibed Monday- Friday and do SGHP variations instead (Low Pulls ect) and max out on Snatch Grip High Pull on Saturday?
How will this affect bench press recovery? Thanks!
The high pull won’t really affect bench press recovery. If you are to replace either the squat or dadlift with the high pull, it should be the deadlift. The high pull is a hip hinge movement, like the deadlift. So you will at least be replacing an exercise by one of the same pattern.
