Is a good book?About what it speaks?
And this book?
The Best Sports Training Book Ever!
From his website - Raved about as ‘the most exciting thing to hit the shelves since the popularization of sports training,’ this comprehensive, ahead-of-the-pack sports training masterpiece is the epitome of success. Written by possibly the most successful elite-development coach on the planet today- Dietrich-Heinz Buchenholz- this book makes development from ‘the playground’ to ‘the show’ seem like childs play. The sophistication of this world-class information is virtually presented in an ‘A,B,C,…’ format. Trust me on this one; Even though you will be exposed to what has never been written, spoken about, or even remotely mentioned in the current, popular sports training lines before, the information contained in this book is the future of sports training. It will revolutionize your current training, guaranteed. Bottom line is this: If you ever want to make an impact as a coach or an elite athlete, this book contains the solutions you’ve been looking for.
They are both pretty good. I’d start with the book by louie. joe kenns strength coaches playbook is also great
not sure of your library but both of ct’s books are awesome
I didn’t even know there’s a book by Louie . Where can I get it?
The best sports training book ever! is a major headache for everyone when reading it for the first time! It’s a radical concept that I still haven’t gotten grasp of yet. It’s really confusing for me. It isn’t clear cut or in “our” language for that matter. it’s a lot to take in, that’s for sure. The sample programs at the end aren’t that much helpful either. It’s like a bible, trying to read between the lines and figuring out for yourself.
One of the exercises involved is the Reactive-Accleration bench press throw. Yep, you throw the bench up in the air and catch it on the way down. That is a diaster waiting to happen!
I agree with squattin600. I would go with stuff by people like Louie, Christian T., or Joe Kenn. They actually explain concepts that you are able to understand. You dont need a glossary of abbreviations or anything to understand. If you want to look into it deeper, check out the writers that they(Louie,Chritstian, and Coach Kenn) cite in their works.
Tungsten i have the sports book, if you have any questions you can PM me…
