Oh hai!
Holy shitstorm batman! I?m writing this from work, posting from my phone via an email to my personal account, so again, sorry for all the formatting errors and obnoxious question marks.
The last couple pages have been quite hilar. I dunno if there is really much for me to say. To RV, I guess we will have to agree to disagree. If I could gain muscle while maintaining leanness, I surely would, but I guess you didn?t read my post very thoroughly. No matter.
Anyways, tried to do legs during lunch, which was fun and tiring, but 45 minutes simply isn?t enough time to have a proper leg workout, especially with any semblance of a warmup.
5 min warmup.
Front squats - - no belt today, no proper warmup, so I didn?t really want to load up my spine with over 400 lbs. I haven?t done front squats in awhile and they felt pretty good, bar positioning wise. Might keep for a time, or at least rotate them in.
135 x 5
135 x 5
225 x 5
275 x 3
315 x 5. felt good. Die Evan
Leg press - - rest basically consisted of the time it took to add plates and catch my breath
3pps x 10
5pps x 10
7pps x 10 drop 5pps x 10 drop 3pps x 10 drop 1pps x 30. wobble wobble.
Lying leg curls aka da bomb.
80 x 10
110 x 10
140 x 10
170 x 8 drop 95 x 10
1 rest-paused set of leg extensions with hard squeezes.
Can?t complain. I think strength felt pretty good on the f. squats because my visiting lady friend likes to eat delicious carb-loaded foods in the evenings. By Monday, I might be as fat (and heavy) as RV.

last comment in this thread, you really need to check out dc training. 45 minutes for a leg workout, and thats not enough time. lol. And you don’t think you’re over training? Honestly, I’m not trying to be a troll, but 45 minutes for a leg workout. DC TRAINING!!!

And perhaps you should check out a topic over at IM called “Are workouts supposed to be this short?”

Well go to some dc training threads. Intense muscle.com. tell them that. This style of training has proven to be one of the best systems for gaining size and strength. If your looking to gain size, your workouts “should be short” are marathon runners huge? no, but have you seen sprinters? they are much bigger and more muscular.
Rogue, I appreciate your interest here, and I hope you keep posting. Obvi I’ve heard of DC. I’ve used RP principles in my workouts over the years. Anyways, you have definitely drank the koolaid. No need to be so dogmatic.
Been eating like garbage (last night, dinner was a shared Pu Pu Platter and pieces of carrot, chocolate, and cheesecake for dessert, with wine), but it?s been fun, and I don?t look that much worse really yet. Is this RV approved? Will I gain some weight now?
Hit up delts (and traps) during a quick lunchtime sesh.
Quick warmup
Seated military press
95 x 12
135 x 8
185 x 5
225 x 7 - - grinded out numero 7.
Standing BTN press / Alt. DB front raises / Rear delt DB flies - - dat triset action.
95 x 15 / 35s x 8 LR / 20s x 10 – > 3 times through. I really am loving the front raises, contracting the front delt hard at the top of the movement
Meadows partial laterals / Full-ROM laterals w/ a squeeze
75s x 15 / 15s x 10 - - > 3 times through
HS shrugs - - played with body position so it was almost a very high torso angle row, to hit more midback trap area. All reps squeezed
1pps x 15
2pps x 15
3pps x 12
4pps x 12
Some band pull aparts while I cooled down and did my shoulder dislocates. Not bad. It would be pretty cool if I could get to 225x10 military before my bodyweight goes back up, but that will be a toughy.

I think both training styles have their benefits. When I say both, I mean higher volume vs higher intensity. I myself try to employ both…I think DC is a great system, but I also think that there are other styles of training that yield similarly good results.
Evan, DC doesn’t work.
Bug, the only thing positive that came out of RV’s comments, were the fact you brought up the obvious struggles that come with being a natty; specifically one’s like you and I, who’s fat distribution (all on waist, killing any taper) makes bulking a self-esteem killer, but staying lean year around detrimental to gains (referring to the ‘couple pounds a year’ comment you made a few pages back. You’ve DEFIANTLY made tons of progress in areas other then pure mass in the last 1.5 years).
So I guess I’m asking if maybe, as you may or may not have alluded to before, it’s time for you to take it to the next level when referring to “supplements”? I mean, you’ve really put in the time as natty…

I think you are misunderstanding my post. I’m not claiming that your workouts have to be several hours long.
The thread I mentioned is on IM. In that thread there seems to be an agreement that your DC workouts should not only last 45 minutes. The thread is one of the stickies in the pound puppy forum.

yes, but remember, in one workout, they will train 4-5 muscle groups.

If Dante knew you were using his famed program to troll accomplished lifters who are making progress, he’d likely tell you to fuck off and stop tainting the DC name. Just sayin’.

Please do not bring up creatine in Bug’s log. I think we all know the slippery slopes he hit when he tried cycling it his first month of training. It’s something we can all relate to. But he is taking CellTek now so all is well.
I dunno y’all, Bug seems like a pretty law-abiding citizen to me. Next step for him might be prohormones at the most. Just like Eric Lilliebridge.
