I know what you mean about pinning a pic to a physique. Sorry to put you on the spot on that.

You bring up good points i know i have to keep in mind. I can only obtain the physique shape that my genetics allow. Like i know my waist will never be below maybe 31inches, just something that has to dealt with. I doubt i will delve into working the shape a muscle with anythign other than training (if that is beleived to be possible)

But SRS what gym do you work out at? I’m def not looking to do my serious work at BC’s gym (4 years of college gyms was enough hah). I’m considering hitting up Carlos’s gym and just working on getting strong for awhile, but I’m also DTF with keeping up the BB training if yo facility is kewl/affordable.

It all depends on where you’re going to be living and your modes of transportation. If I remember correctly, BC is a little ways off of the downtown area where I generally “operate” (Fenway/Back Bay/South End).

I imagine you’ll have a car? If so, driving to Carlos’ gym is going to be a much better option for you as from where you’ll be, is probably on an extra 10min drive. Also, A) it will cost less than half of my POS gym while being 5x as equipped for what you want to do with a far better atmosphere and B) you can park out there no problem. Driving into the city, you will run into costs. If you are taking the T/commuter rail, that’s gonna take you prob 45 min to work at at a rinky dink gym. I don’t recommend.

I’m looking around Allston-Brighton, so if I can lock down a place there then I shouldn’t be too far from your area (from what I’ve seen/heard anyway). I do have a car, but I’m still trying to figure out if it’s worth using regularly or not. City driving pisses me off a lot and I’ll have full retard amounts of reading to do each day, so sitting on the T for awhile wouldn’t be the end of the world.

Heading to NYC for the weekend to spend some time with my brother (just moved up for an internship) and friends (I don’t have any here anymore since the 2 bros I hung out with most now have gfs). Since I may not get to lift till Sunday (optimistically), decided to hit arms during lunch. Went pretty well. Used some ideas from Evan’s last arm day, plus some ideas from Jason Huh. Was different, but I enjoyed it.

Incline DB curls: bottom half ROM, dat TUT

EZ bar curls: 1.5 reps. These suck lol.

55 x 8, 8, 8 – really painful.

Preacher hammer curls
10 x 12 LR
20 x 12, 12, 12 (LR)

EZ preachers / EZ reverse curls: I had to work in with some doofus who was taking his sweet time so I cut this after 2 sets.
45 x 10 / 12
45 x 10 / 12. Then hopped on the lat pulldown and did 1 set of stretch-emphasized overhead curls x 20.

Decline CG press (4 sec negative, no lockout) / Rope pressdowns (3-4 sec squeeze): interesting combo.
135 x 10 / 80 x 10
185 x 8 / 100 x 8
205 x 8 / 100 x 8
205 x 8 / 90 x 6

One-armed reverse grip pressdowns
35 x 15 LR
40 x 15 LR

Lol @ us using our warmup weights on decline CG now.

Obvi we’ve used the 1.5 reps before, but man, it was brutal. The contraction just gets straight up painful.

Yeah, I was moving fast and didn’t have anyone looking after me and wasn’t confident I’d get to 8 reps with 225 so I stayed at 205. That 4 sec eccentric was awesome, gets a really nice stretch, then squeeze like crazy with the pressdowns. Love it! <3 (no homer)

One-armed barbell row / Meadows row: obvi I love this superset. Really exaggerated the stretch and squeeze on the earlier sets.

125 x 6 / 6. Was sweating BULLETS and panting like a dog after this.

Wide-grip pulldowns: hard contraction, nice stretch though I kept the lats flexed at the top so not really all the way up

Rack pulls: from 5~ inches below the knee aka the hardest spot to pull from. Jerry rigged a setup in the squat rack with one of the jump boxes. Usually I feel really unstable doing something like that but it worked quite well. Will do again. Squeezed each rep at the top, and on the negative, made sure to flex lats and lower under control (if possible lol).

565 x 3: Evan doing 675 can diaf

Wide neutral grip cable rows: kept back rounded, got a great stretch, and squeezed as hard as possible each rep. Felt it a lot in my upper back / rhomboid area.

DB shrugs: first 10 reps w/ 3 sec hold, second 10 reps “pump reps”
100s x 10 / 10 —> 3x

Leg press calf raises: ouch

Cooldown. 15 min incline walking. Groovy.
