Yes. This. My constant complaint. Whatevs is right. Good time mus be had!

Anyways, killer training. Muscles will Grow! Nice work, Bug.

Cool training as always. Looking very JM approved. I’m going to have to check out these partial laterals, I’ve luved/found I’ve got imrprovements out of the also JM approved “seated partials w/feet up on bench” and can use like 44s for top set without like any front delt involvements, shame they are gaining on my seated shoulder press fast OMGWTFFML

Well, I’m not Bug, but I can attest to the fact that since I started incorporating more partial laterals (machine and dumbbells), my delts have gone from being an average bodypart to a stronger point.

I think they really allow you to keep the tension on the delts and maximize TUT, which is king for hypertophy.

Lol…no more hijacking bug’s log…u can check my log for delt pics

Hitting on other hy0000j meatheads in MY log!? Omg ladies, I’m so hurt.

Anyways, I agree on the “not lateral raising past parallel” level. In fact, I prob go a smidge lower than that with a nice hold. Agree with Evan’s assessment of the partial raises as well. Great addition to the ol’ repertoire.

Down to business. Today’s back session was great. I ate some candy at work today (peer pressure lol) so I punished myself a little bit with some extra cardio. The deadlifts raped me though, and I was gasping for air the rest of the session.

Dynamic warmup

Deadlifts
135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 2
455 x 6 x 2 – Not bad. Basically just gassing by the end of the second set. Pulls feeling smooth. Trainer got mad at me for “slamming” weights (def don’t slam… sry ur floor is loud).

Straight-arm rope pulldowns
5 ascending sets of 10-12. Good squeezes.

Tried out chest supported rows, but didn’t feel good. Not good MMC, plus made me wanna hurl.

DB rows - also made me wanna hurl, but w/e. Haven’t done enough of these lately.
105 x 10 LR
125 x 10 LR, 10 LR. god that was tiring.

Pulldowns - just wanted to move some weight
130 x 10
190 x 10
250 (stack) x 7 (and partials) + 3 (and partials) drop to 120 and rep out (maybe 12-13). Forearms too pumped to hold on. That was a bit too heavy.

Stretchers
100 x 10 x 5, low rest. Ow.

2 sets hanging lat stretch. Exhausted at this point.

Bent-over DB flies
20s x 25, 20, 15

Cable EZ drag curls / cable curls
4 sets, 10-12 reps on each part. Crazy pump.

Seated alt. hammer curls - felt very strong today. Good squeezes too.
30s x 10
40s x 10
55s x 6
70s x 10 (wtf?)
– arms together
30s x 15~

Some more band pull aparts and shoulder dislocated. Then 10 minutes of brutal stairmaster. F that. Almost threw up (good thing).

Now I’m exhausted. Crush some food and hopefully get in bed at a reasonable time.

You are the only hyoooj meathead for me.

Never used the machine for LRs, and never really done partials, so I’ll be experimenting with both. Would you insert heavy partials before or after lighter full ROM laterals?

Delts are going to be blowing up all over the place.

seated DB hammers 70 x 10? friggin’ sweet if your still sticking to tight form on these. nice

Yeah form was pretty damn tight. Was a good set for sure. I strapped up which helped, because at that point I had a pretty unbearable forearm pump.

Off to go hit some chest and tris now. Luv.
