I SLDL’ed the day before… and the next day, benching was painful due to sore traps and midback. I wish I were so talented!

Supposed to do quads today, but I feel like I need a day off. Gonna take my gear to work and if I feel like lifting after, I’ll catch a late night quads o’ death sesh.

EDIT: oh, I’d like to share something that was shown to me by Mr. Evan aka ebomb:

PROTEIN PANCAKES. I love pancakes, and these taste like bomb-ass choco banana pancakes.

-200g milk of some sort (he uses calorie countdown, I’ve been using almond milk)
-90g banana (approx 1 med-large babana)
-1 scoop whey
-70g oats
-1 omega-3 egg

I blend it up then make little pancakes. SO FUCKING GOOD.

Cut me some slack I haven’t slept in 4 days, no wonder I didn’t understand the sldl post.

Bug, I’ve been meaning to ask you, what are those “Stretchers?”

Bug. I tried them (one-arm db ext.) standing, they feel good on the muscle but it’s obvious to me they would feel even better with back support

SSC, It’s a John Meadows exercise. Basically brace your foot against the seat of a pulldown, and using the little v-grip attachment, start from a stretch position and row to the upper chest, emphasizing the upper chest going up and contracting the lats hard. Video in the back article IIRC.

Jake, how much weight did you use? Seated or standing shouldn’t make too much of a difference since the weight is so light, but yeah, it’s a good movement.

Took off yesterday, gonna try to get enough done in the next 2 hours so I can go hit a quick quads session before work tonight.

Bug- it was like 26~lb dumbells I guess for me to hit hardish 8 rep sets… so yeah not much… I guess they are kind of like dumbbell kickbacks in that regard, speaking of, have you managed to use JM-style kickbacks effectively? I tried them… and they are definitely not a very natural movement first time through.

Spidey - never been much into basketball games except HANG TIME or w/e that game was called. Also: NFL Blitz anyone??

Delta - I used to be a big PC gamer, so I know what you’re talking about. For some reason I didn’t play Doom when it was released, but I did play Wolfenstein 3D religiously, also games like Rise of the Triad, Myst, Descent, etc were part of my old school PC game arsenal.

jake - yeah, for a movement like that, I wouldn’t choose a weight that’s any heavier than a solid 10 reps per arm. And I love JM’s kickbacks. Everyone’s muscles attach differently and due to biomechanics, you may need some tweaking to get the feel just right.

So I was gonna get a late workout last night, skipped it. Was gonna do a double session today (quads AM, delts PM), but that didn’t happen due to stuff coming up, so I’m gonna do a joint quads/delts mega sesh this afternoon. Gonna feel so good. Also, stuffed my face last night.
