Took this yesterday. I may just start doing these monthly, like weighing myself and taking a picture on the first of each month so time is allowed for a change to be effected.
Cool Whip, is basically just whipped topping. It’s white, comes from beating egg whites and a little sugar and vanilla. BUTTT, there is not that much sugar in it, so a little on a waffle…doesn’t hurt you that much. Or Cool Whip is what you slather on your girlfriend and then remove orally !!!
Re: the MCT Oil…Multi chain triglicerides… The huge difference between someone who has done this for a couple years straight,(like you guys) and a newbie (where I was two years ago) is that a newbie will go thru protein powder and chicken like it is going away…and think this is the only way to build muscle.
After a while, I learned that it takes a mix of protein, carbs, and even fats, to get it built. I just chugged 3-4 tbspns of my Olive and Canola Oil. Why? It gives me about 4 g of Omega 3 Fatty Acids. I need em for my elbow tendons. And those fats are good for me. Tastes like hell, but then again, really not much flavor to it…just really OILY. (Mr. Obvious, huh !!!)
Got back into it this morning. Did Shoulders. Could not find a good spotter in the gym, so only did
one set of 12 reps, SHoulder press with 60 lb Dumbells. Then I moved over to the SMITH, and did 1 x 12 with 70 pounds on each side, then 1 x 10 with 80 on each side, then 2 x 8 with 90 on each side.
Then over to Hammer and used the Shoulder press. Had 3 - 45 plates on each side…did 2 x 10.
Finished with some Shrugs on SMITH, and some other shoulder work on the cables.

I’ve only been on the MCT for a few weeks after I realized (even after years of training) that I wasn’t getting enough healthy fats. especially in the mornings; I noticed a significant difference in my energy levels just from adding a couple of raw eggs into my morning shake
I agree 100% that a balance off macronutrients is required. As I said I try to consume carbs by ‘feel’ but add healthy fats to every shake now. I can also feel exactly when I’m carb depleted, and I ‘time’ this so I’m carb sensitive before I eat my 2 pre workout chocolate bars. Funnily enough I’ve started trying to consume my caffeine pre workout, not first thing AM, to maximize ‘caffeine sensitivity’ LOL It helps!

Yeah I take shots of olive oil too. And yes, it tastes shit! Or recently I just stick a tbsp in my monster shakes. Havent tried canola oil before. Dont know how easy you can find it over here tbh.
Trap Bar DL (normal handles the height off the ground of a regular bar DL)
65KG x8 85KG x5 105KG x3, 125KG x3, 145KG x3 165KG x1 FINISHED- FELT LIKE SHIT NOTHING LEFT IN THE TANK
1730 PWO protein shake with MCT
1930 bowl of soup. I put some burgers under the grill but couldn’t eat them so the dog had a field day.
I felt tired and irritable all day, and didn’t get anything particularly constructive done i.e no studying and no decent workout. But had AMAZING sex last night (me and my GF do S&M and its great which would have burned off some of those cookies. This definitely helped me sleep.

Looks like you’ve got even leaner but mainting the same muscle mass.
I cant wait to see how ripped you get when you diet down mate, you’ll be absolutely shredded!!
Thanks Dre, but I’ve been trying to gain weight! That MCT oil might be helping? Bugadesh says its like ‘fat burning serum’.
No workout today, still have a terrible cough and didn’t sleep too well last night. I’ll try and get a good sleep tonight and hit legs tomorrow.
Yeah must be doing the trick. What’s the scale weight been saying recently? you still putting on the pounds or?
Dre: funnily enough I haven’t thought to weigh myself since I started my weight gain log! I’ll weigh myself after training later. Last weigh in was about 225LB/16 stone, I’m expecting it to be the same-ish, theres no way I’ll have gained over the last week whilst being ill, no way.
I’m not expecting a great workout I was up half the night coughing, if I’m not over this man flu by the weekend I’ll go to the doc’s and ask for antibiotics I think.

Olive oil is pretty expensive, compared to Veggie oil…so I go to the grocery, and basically see what they have on sale for Olive oil, Canola Oil, or anything close. Then I pick it up and look on the back to see how many Omega 3’s I can get in a tbspn. Last time I got the combo Olive/Canola oil, it was like 5 bucks for a quart…they were getting rid of a brand they carry. Oil is oil.
TX: I agree with you on the oil. This MCT stuff I’m getting by ‘twinlab’ aint cheap, I’ll prolly start using omega 3 eggs and olive oil after this batch runs out.

Either of you know if there’s any difference in omega 3 ratios between olive oil and extra virgin olive oil??

I’ve had this cough since the beginning of October, I thought is was virtually cleared up then I woke up last Wednesday morning with it in full force and still feel fucked up. The main reason I want to avoid the doctors is because of all the hassle involved in making an appointment: my doctors are fucking useless. BUT unfortunately I can’t miss any more studying from illness and need to work and ideally train as well, and certainly can’t function on a few hours sleep from being awake coughing all fucking night.
I think I’m catching all this shit from university, each week I’m sat in a germ infested lecture theatre with 300 other people with the windows shut and breathing in all of their fucking germs
I must admit defeat and go the antibiotics route ;-(

Sorry, I don’t know. Good question though…I do know that Extra Virgin Olive Oil is derived naturally, no chemicals used in the process, and it is pure (not diluted). That would make me think it would be best. BUTTTT, I dunnnoh.
I learned my lesson…checked out every single bottle of “Fish Oil” on the rack at groceries, drug stores, and on line. The average Fish Oil gel cap pill thing has about 300 mg of Omega 3 in it. In big letters, it says, “1000 mg FISH OIL” But in small letters it says, that same 100 mg of Fish Oil only has like 300 mg of Omega 3 in it.
I was of the understanding that the ‘fully leaded’ olive oil, with the most calories was the ideal choice? I can’t justify this but I do remember reading a discussion on here where some of the more respected posters were chewing it over.
