Fuck, I may be moving to Canada!! I didn’t even think about the customs issue. I guess I will have to live just south of the border.

I’m not too sure how this would work. Wouldn’t such people have no interest in supplements anyway? Or if they were, just want a quick fix? And when they don’t suddenly wake up ripped or whatever they want because of their crappy diet, they’ll blame the supplements.
Thanks for the update Tim.
I would really like to see an 'Evolution of Biotest " article. I’ve been a reader from the very beginning and would love to see the how and why of each product’s reformulations & evolution (IE TTIBEX/ Methoxy-7/ Grow!) to the those that never seemed to work out (Ribose-C/Myostat/T2) and those that were too good to be true for too short a time (Anrdosol/MAG-10/MD6).
Of course it would be a great excuse to mention new upcoming products like Euphoria (if its still in the works) and the fish oils.
Feel free to use the title, that way only the truly retarded can bitch about another sneaky attempt to sell Biotest on T-Nation.
I was first exposed to Biotest supplements through Testosterone magazine. I thought it was another attempt by a supplement company to push their own magical products through their own publication.
Well, I stand corrected. After reading the science behind the products, and the articles by some of the best names in the business, I have to say that T-Nation is the best site I have come across in 12 years of training. Please keep up the good work, and I promise to keep supporting the website by purchasing your products.

Actually I consider most people in the gym average joes. We work jobs, have families… and for the most part eat a pretty good diet. What I don’t always have a need for is the extra calories.
CAUTION LONG RANT SOME OF YOU HERE WILL AGREE AND SOME JUST WONT GIVE A SHIT.
Well after my rant a couple weeks ago I made a unwriten promise to Biotest. First like I said in my post in the “How big is T-Nation” thread I like and do use some of the products here meaning I would buy from this site now and then for the most part of my supps I use protein and glutamine and fish oil for years now I have been buying my protein from a well known company in my area for a little over half off all product’s but now have decided to change that.
I am only going to buy Grow! and Surge from here infact I just ordered again for a second time this week. Why make such a big deal ? It is simple How many places can you go and get free shit like training, nutrition, etc and how many of the authors here did you truly hear about before Testosterone came about ?
Poliquin,Staley,Berardi I now see Poliquin in other mag’s as there Q.A. man now Berardi is now on other sites… shit I would say This site with thank’s to T.C. and Tim has kept some folk’s here ahead of the game and this is just a small part compared to the rest we can get here not just to mention probabley the best protein on the market for 23.00 buck’s.
One last thing before I end up on some other tangent I am glad to see Tim popping his head in and taking the time to argue his point’s and to deal with the consumer on a more personal level rather than some long colorful explanation on how this or that supp blows the lid off science or our medicine man crosses the land to find these herbs.
I would rather have just the plain old fact’s and data like back when the study that was done and posted for TRIBEX or on a stupid note when Chris made fun of the name for Grow! saying “Why not call it Shrink” my point you say? just be straight up and keep it simple and maybe if the T-Nation folk’s have the time bullshit with us or even put us in our place like you did on the How big thread Hell that’s is all I need.
Sorry guy’s if I got a little off beat I was just thinking back to the day’s when this site was brand new. To Tim from now on unless impossible my supp’s that I can get from Biotest will be bought here.
Awesome stuff Tim.
Can’t wait for the Fish Oil/CLA sup to come out. I don’t know where I rank on that list o’ purchasers, but I do know my average buy gets me free FedEx shipping…
Keep up the good work.
And BTW, please post on here if you’re ever thinking of hiring an in-house mid-level corporate lawyer… Working for a company with ethics and intelligence would be exellent (of course, taking the CO bar would not be excellent, but nothing worth having is easy).
Well, before this article I thought I was “addicted” to Biotest supps and was perhaps spending too much money on them. Well, I just figured it up, and I only spent about $3400 in the last year. That probably doesn’t even get me into the top 500. I guess I need to crank it up a bit. Great article Tim. It’s always good to hear from Da Man. Put me down for a continuously supply of your fish oil supp!!!
I just found this thread so if I’m a little behind, I’m sorry.
I personally have been an exclusive T-Nation buyer for YEARS. I probably average 3-$5,000 a year spent here. I wouldn’t think of buying anywhere else as I have, in my long life of lifting and buying supplements, WASTED 10’s of thousands of dollars on crap made by retards sold to even bigger retards (me) who wanted to believe what they were saying.
I LOVE this site (even though I mostly lurk on the boards) and I will continue to do whatever I can to help it grow ($$$), no pun intended. Thanks TP, TC and everybody else involved for creating not just the best supplement company and BB information source in the world, but for giving us a reason to BELIEVE.
Thanks Tim, for the informative article. Like Sifu I had good success with MYOSTAT and really miss it. I’m still hoping you guys bring it back. Sifu and myself support it, along with other T-Nation members. Unfortunately with all the bashing you talked about, most of us kept our use and success quiet. I hope you find it feasable to produce MYOSTAT again, I’ll keep praying for its return. Thanks again, and continued success! GOD BLESS!
Again, readers beware of a long post:
After reading this, I took many things into contemplation. First and foremost, I thought, “How do I know this isn’t a move to just convince me not to buy other companies products?” I answered this quickly with all the material and great advice and knowledge all the trainers, nutritionists, and athletes donate to the site, as well as anybody part of the company.
Through using this website, I have probably acquired more knowledge than any single source before. I know people say it a lot, but I figured one more time can’t hurt.
Now, I know I’ve been ranting for quite awhile, but to get partially back on track… Even though your goal is not what I was skeptical of originally, you have converted me into a consumer of Grow! Low-Carb Grow!, Surge, Anti-Estrogen, and the formerly named Grow! bars.
Before I too was guilty of buying from companies offering a cheaper whey hydrolysate, maltodextrin, BCAA, dextrose, but now I realize I must support a website I utilze 8 days a week! (yes, 8!). So Tim, you did convert somebody who once stretched every dollar probably sacrificing quality for cost and I’m even a college student…yes a poor college student.
Even with little money for supplements, it’s better to invest in quality rather than crap that can negatively effect your physique and performance goals.
First, signing Georges St. Pierre was a great move! I think he has the best chance to beat current champion Matt Hughes.
Secondly, I have spent some very serious money on Biotest products over that last several years. I’m not one to take anyone’s word for anything. I have researched all of the top nutritional companies and found that Biotest is the best!
Would I say otherwise if I didn’t really think it? No, I would probably just not post over here. But I am posting here, so read on…
When I say “best” I am talking about the best quality, best tasting (protein powder) and, all things considered, the best priced. Are you supposed to pay less for a Mercedes than you are for a Chevy?
One more time: You usually get what you pay for.
Finally, anyone who is able to read this post knows what sort of quality (there’s that word again) information that T-Nation supplies. Sure, you can be a rat and read all of the FREE information and then go out and purchase somebody else’s supplements becuase they are cheap. But, then you would not only be a rat (I like that word here) but you would be a rat who is consuming cheap crap supplements. See you can’t win that way. ![]()
In short what I’m trying to say is this:
Buy Biotest supplements and support a site that truly is the best muscle building site on the Internet! One that is loaded with some of the best muscle building information around and it’s FREE! Keep in mind I am saying this for selfish reasons. The more Biotest makes, the better this site will become. The better the site becomes the better you become! Oh, and you also become better from buying quality supplements…See you just can’t lose.
I hope you now understand a bit better how this entire loyalty thing works. If not PM me, this post is already long enough.
Zeb
Tim,
I can not thank you enough for taking the time to post here. As a Canuck, I was becoming really frusturated with Biotest prices and this little bit of communication has really eased a lot of my concerns. Thank you so much for changing the international shipping as well!
One thing, however. It would seem that Americans get a “bulk” discount in the form of free shipping. Surely that costs Biotest something to do that. I realize the free shipping to Canada wouldn’t be feasible, HOWEVER, couldn’t you give us some other discount of equal value? Perhaps a 5% discount or a free bottle of something equal in value to 5% of the original order?
Thanks,
Grork
Ahhh… The mysteries of Myostat explained. Has there been any more recent research in that line? Like using some sort of big array of satellite cell cultures and then testing out every chemical known to man to see which ones at least promote in vitro growth… Or repackage Myostat under some other name like how the Grow! bars mysteriously did :). BTW, was there any safety study on chronic myostatin inhibition?
TS
Has Canada shipping been posted yet? Dont want to miss it!
Tim, I wanted to say how much I miss hearing from you regularly, I always find your articles clear and enervating. Reading with excitement as we went with you developing new products. Please, I know you’re often too busy, (I think Shugs replied to this), but I’d love to have you posting articles more often, like way back when, and get us all breathing heavy in anticipation… or just get stuff off your chest.
love you man! ![]()
So all the new progestin based pro hormones released post ban are garbage? And even more than that, you say illegal? How so? Do you think that the ban effectively shut down all future prohormone supplements, or that loopholes will be found for effective replacements considering you think the new ones suck?

It seems to work in vitro, but not in vivo.
Tim, I remember reading a long time ago you were interested in improving Power Drive.
Is that still in the works?
Man, I have been begging for you all to produce a quality multi. Make it from all natural sources and the most bioavailable and I would buy it religiously. To be honest, I haven’t purchased too many of your products, but it’s for one reason alone…sucralose.
If you all offered your products naturally sweetened with stevia or the likes, I wouldn’t have to settle for inferior sources or pay out the ass. I know it’s a supply and demand thing and I probably am a minority when it comes to this, but I know there has got to be a few T-Men out there that want all natural, quality products. Help me to help you. You supply, I buy. Thanks.
