Reps for front squats are killer… For me, it’s more of a conditioning challenge. I love me some singles and doubles :slight_smile:

Consul–I agree. Repping out fronties is a real conditioning test for sure. I think my problem is more of my brain having reset itself and thinking the wt is more then it actually is from em taking time off .

I find the more I hold heavier wts, the more I get used to it and know, well fuck, this is not that much and I can do it. My legs have been very good tome and its typically my mind that causes issues likeasnekay bastard.

And yes… benching is a horrible movement. In all forms. I shall never speak its name again >:) I’m not really joking either.

Today was another try at fs and misc stuff.

anderson fs 133x10, 143x10, 168 x 7, 173 x 2, 133x9
wide ass gm’s. WIDE ass as in my legs way the hell apart for 65# x8.

these fry my glute ham-tie in. I need to do more gm’s.
db snatched 30# x8 /arm, 40# x8/arm, 45#x 6 /arm
First time trying Rear delt Destroyer …I used 10’s, 8’s, and 5 pound lil dbs. Depending on if I am sore or what I’ll up the wt next time.

I have a feeling I’ll be sore. I didn’t do all the 60 reps, 30, 10 since it was my first time. Just tried 37,17, and 10.

OH MY and I got to borrow an internet wifi radio…so much fun :smiley: The stations are endless…I recommend one if you can afford it. I can’t so I borrowed one and will hold ontoit as long as I can get away with.

After a while I did pull ups and some ohs at 24 hour.
ohs 133x10, x8, 138 I ended up push pressing it up and way too far out into a snatch grip,133x8,x5

made me think of snatch grip deads. SO I did a few sets of very low wt reps. Mostly for lats and traps vs regular deadszos hammie and lower back.

89#x10 x 3 sets or so. I mean to gain an upper back.

Today was a nice surprise. I added the wt’s in my head wrong and ended up doing wt I thought was ten pounds lighter. HA HA

I like these. OH MY GOSH I like an upper back exercise.

All this time for some reason I’ve thought I had big traps…um…no I don’t…and I’mnot even sure hwy I even thought I had big ones to begin with .

I am deficient in traps. Specifically anterior ones. My upper back is pretty spindley and wispy. I’d like a meaty beefy one. Or at least a stronger one.

Hey Dally :slight_smile: Oh goodness…I am not the form police by any stretch of the imagination :{ That’s incredibly exciting that you are just getting a wiff of how cool pl can be :slight_smile: I’d suggest looking at lots and lots and lots of vids of lifters. Try and find competitive ones --for the most part they have good form. I’d suggest heading to powerlfiting watch and finding some of the top female names, look for them on you tube and go wold.

Everyone and there dad is gong to try and give you tips to help you out but it really takes time to get used to your strength. Be smart, take your time and just have fun :)Read alot, watch those damm russian lifters…men and women who annialte wt :slight_smile:

After a while I did my pull up assignment and then headed in for some misc ohs/clean stuff. I’ve been kinda light headed all day to my consternation I can’t really figure out why.

OHS 131 x8, 136x5, 141 x8, 146 x4 ha 1 pound pr.
I’m on board to learn to clean. I did some with with jerks too, highest wt I got successfully was 131 clean only no jerk but I need to get my moves down more with less to get better.
