well…I am no so sure. I think my core might be strong–ish.
but then again I think a belt might help me activate it. What everyone tells me is that belts help you push and stick out those abs of steel of ours to help stabilize…blah blah blah…but I still am for my stupid reasons a non belter for the most part.
I don’t do any abs stuff, lately I’ve returned to doing so sit ups that I haven;t done in a LONG time just to see if I still could.
but other then that just like my upper body my abs get whatever training as a bonus from the stuff I want to do–deads,fronties, pull ups mainly.
I do think a belt might help me with my back squat. I do indeed. I think a belt would help me not collapse and clunk over if I was ab-clenching and upright. Theoretically.

Fronties felt strong today.I think I could have beefed out more on a max but I was hesitant to do so. Teh 225 felt like I coudl have done a double…but it remains a fantasy to be full filled in the future.
Today’s deads. This was a fun workout. I really like rep work, and I tried to make em nice and proud and butt out.

I tried to change up my form–thinking butt out for the first time on deads. It felt good, wt felt much lighter then I thought it would.
I could have belted out some more but I felt satisfied.
I did my pull up assignment …almost. Was supposed to do ten sets of 8 , however I got 8 sets of 8 , a set of 6, a set of 5, a set of 3…I totally rushed the last two sets. :{ DAMM IT.

Don’t rush the cleans and don’t get frustrated if you don’t feel like you’ve mastered them right away. It’s a very complex movement. I know you have the ability to do them
You might just have to spend some time at a lighter weight and seriously drill form. Think of pulling yourself under the bar, keeping the bar close to your body, punching your elbows through the roof, and always keep pulling!! A lighter weight should just pop and magically be on shoulders. Go watch video again, grab a broomstick and practice with that ![]()

GROSS …I bet your gym has some type of Musak running thing that plays the same shit on the hour. I can almost deal with some music that’s not my top choice taste but I’ve YET to get how people can get hyped up from these types : r&b, rap of ANY kind, Hip Hop of most kinds. I’m not even anti any of those musics but for lifting? COME ON!!
Maybe I’m just too into my electro/drumm machine/medal jams. However my turbo gym sometimes plays all these national anthems from Mother Russia and the eastern block that I can totally get amped up over. Or marching bands!! Lil Wayne or whoever the hell is not going to make me move.

Today was dedalift day but I doubt I’ll get much more out of it then what I just did in my lil session just now.
Some days deadlifts just don’t happen. I’ve come to terms with this and although I’m disappointed any day I don’t give my all or at least sub max effort to deadszos, I’m fine with it today.
