my i pod mini has the white screen of death :frowning:

but it still plays music when i shake (shuffle) it and i can turn it on and off.

so i’m seeing it as a little push for me to manually select the songs i actually like (rather than having some good songs and some shit songs in an album) and turn it into a kick ass gym pod.

music makes all the difference in the world to me. hardest thing i find about training with others is that we have to listen to the bloody radio. i notice (even if others do not) that when the music is pumping people get PR’s and when the music is sleepy nobody has any pop…

Ha, I have to be the big spoon. I can’t stand the feeling of someone’s breath on the back of my neck, even if I’m crazy about them.

As for sugar free stuff, sorbitol is evil. There’s nothing that brings tears to the eyes like a sorbitol fart.

And music? Yeah, my gym plays predominantly R&B which is way too slow to train to. I need me some Rammstein or Disturbed or, failing that, at least some lively dance music, but no. Lots of fucking Rhianna and Jesus H Christ, Bruno Mars. Fuck.

Alexus! Yep. I concur. however I don’t like it playing on the stereo. I much prefer headphones. even if i had it to myself, I’d still use headphones vs a stereo. also there’s no way i’m going to get hyped up with some lame hip hop rap.

OH CAL! I will never forget the jammin electronica played at the tiny Kinetika (spelling might be off) gym I used. It was pretty jazzy!! not exactly the best but better then mid 90’s soft rock :{

I don’t have a rep scheme… I just go and do whatever. Right now I’m just trying to get used to heavy lifts since its been a while since I have done a max worth anything. I was really into big rep sets for a bit, now I’m embarrassed and way low on my maxes.

I know I can do it, but my head feels the wt as something I can’t do higher reps with and I stall out! Oh well. I have nothing but time, and luckily a healthy drive for it :slight_smile:

I love this about you! I think it really says something about your inner drive and your kinesthetic sense, as well as your imagination, that you just can go in to the gym and just kill it like that. Its so freaking awesome!

My gym is a Kinetika - unfortunately they only play the electro dance stuff in classes. In the main gym we get mainstream pop and the free weights room has radio, complete with adverts and DJs who love the sound of their own voices (interspersed with R&B or if I’m really lucky, some Lady Gaga). Sucktastic.

OH N and Maschy! it was a disgrace!..but I got it up! :smiley:

And I would probably drive a coach or trainer crazy…I’m such a free spirit in the gym. I probably also would benefit from some logical planning …but…I don’t wanna!! I admit I’m a free baller.
