Not bashing. Just saying that working the pecs can sometimes help provide a good foundation for the boobs to sit on…but in my case, not so much. I need an uplift garment to get them to behave, but I loathe and detest underwiring and any sort of constricting clothing, for that matter. In an ideal world I’d prefer to be flat chested so I didn’t need a bra of any description.

Anyway, Alisa - most likely birth control, yes. The pill fools your body into thinking that it’s pregnant. Pregnancy is usually accompanied by inflated boobs. (I don’t take the Pill, btw).

sudden boobies!! that is a call for celebration!!

**Sigh

wtf??? I got food poisoning–or something QUITE similar and quick and nasty-- yesterday afternoon. I spent a good two hours on the bathroom floor shivering and vomiting, and the other end too. had to go to work and was lethargic and dizzy, still dizzy today :frowning: WTF!!!

gym lifts have been not so hot at all:( check is cashed etc.–so meet is going to happen for sure. that takes a little stress off actually, knowing regardless i’m going to have to show up and try my best…and…show up. :stuck_out_tongue: …blah! :{

hey brute - sorry 'bout the food poisoning

Have you heard anything from the RMLC crew about how they will run the meet? Are you going to lift on Friday? I assume so for the day/weight divisions they have on the web site.

If they are doing it by weight classes, I believe what they will do is what they did for the American Open/Colo State Champs in December. At that meet, the light weight men lifted with the light weight women, the middle weight men lifted with the heavier women, etc. As a 181, I lifted with the guys and was the only chick, but it was a lot of fun.

I am not lifting at Raw Nats, but I plan to hang around at least on Saturday and Sunday.

That sounds like what they have planned. Friday starts with the lightest weight classes and Sunday has the 220s and up.

ugh! hope your feeling better Brute. I’d hold your hair out of your face for you if I could.

That sickness sounds horrible…I have a couple friends who have gotten the Flu…in June!! crazy. Hope you feel better!

Oh, wait. I’m more than twice that. Shit.

Screwed again.

Brute, FEEL BETTER SOON!

thanks!!

AWW :(!!! I am sad that pmpm isn’t going to be there the day i am:( she and snapper were so nice to me at the meet in march!

my sister says hi to both of you by the way :)you impressed my entire family too!

i like the idea theoretically of spreading out the lifters, but then you can’t see everyone, which i’d like! plus i also dangle dangerously clsoe to the line between 165 and 181 class. but dammit, i’m going to the 165 if it kills me.

but then again i also like not having to wait thru all the other classes.

yeah, i have a theory that i’ve been experiencing all these retarded things for a reason… i got a migraine this morning enough to make me leave work, which i never do…

i think what is happening is a physical display of some stuff i’m working through in my personal life. I’m a nerd, and stubborn, so i react to emotions later to things, and as i change or leave behind whatever, i show my feelings in abrupt noticeable physical ways. = LAME!

oh well. These issues i think have to do with a few psychic vampires on my life sucking my will to live, and dealing with them is always a touchy thing.

Let me know if you want my water cutting protocol.

Brute: you must lift in the 165s or I might not be able to see you (and video your lifts to post here for all to see, provided you agree to it). Not sure I can get there Saturday.

Re: mental health affecting physical health. This is a proven fact and is perfectly normal. There are ways to learn to manage this, of course, like biofeedback, meditation, even yoga works for me somewhat.

Take care of yourself, girlie.

Brute - so happy you are competing! You will be amazing! (and P.S. if you decided not to compete for fear that your numbers wouldn’t be “awesome enough”… I gotta tell you… you would NEVER compete! We are always thinking our numbers aren’t high enough or good enough… so do the meet… set a baseline for yourself and rock it out! =D)

And yes, with PMPM’s water cutting protocol, you should be fine! =D

PMPM- i just pm’d you! I would love to have it!

Snapper! i will make it! i better!!

Molly- THANKS!!! You are right, I need to chill. It is annoying looking back on my madness…but well, no buts. Off i go

Good luck with the meet!
The shivering/vomiting thing sounds like one of those typical 24 or 48 hour viruses. I’ve had a few of those in my time and they never last longer than two days (which is good because as long as you’re ill, you want to curl up and die). Hope you’re back to 100% soon.

Thanks Cal!

Well, I figure i might as well log my stuff.I haven’t for a while.

I’m still going way gentle and slow…slow slow back into wts.

monday
dl’s
bar, 135, 185, 225,245, 265, 275, 285, a shifty and ugly 295
245x5, x6,x5,x4
265, 275 fail after i did some cardio

my muscles got a bit cold. And I am pissed off for the reason why, and although I’m sure the person meant/s well, it really throws me off–especielly now—when people talk to me while i’m trying to lift.

Its taken a lot for my ego and stuff to get myself even to lift again, so i really try and focus and gt all Brutie and pumped up…I do feel like an asshole for saying this, but it really pisses me off.

i’m sure the person means well, but it puts me off big time. I’m not there to make friends, and i’m sure i could benefit form coaching but I need to ask for it- for me right now i need what i know works fro ME, which is solo, alone get my shit done atmosphere.

–but i can never be rude…even though i am a customer, it just doesn’t feel like the right way to address the situation. I’ll just go at different times.

tuesday
squats
bar, 135, 185, 225, 245, a high 265
cardio

thurs
reverse alt lunges 95# 4 sets of 8(total not per leg)
cardio

today
front squats 135x7x3 sets
cardio
planks 3min20 sec, 2min, 45 secs, 45 sec a good minutes rest between each

Things at my work are kinda sucky. I have a real problem with my supervisor who is just–beyond words unprofessional–and not safe! IRRRR. So i took home a lot more frustration then I’ve needed to.I’ve never been one to make a fuss at my jobs.

I live by the be seen not heard, do the bets i can and go home. But now I’m having little choice but to go speak to HR about her. I hat being a tattle tale, but its miles past ridiculous.

So anyways sunday I manged to see the state of two of my lifts.
I used snappers belt for the first real time yesterday and its a godsent–because without it i was struggling with 255 for a deadlift :{

Yeah. Eh emm…anyways…

dl-135, 185, 225, 255–belt from here forward, 275 ,295, fail 305. oh the humanity !!

also sturggling with a 125 bench! ha! OH well!

Brute - you’re still rehabbing your back and stuff don’t be hard on yourself. Continue to get healthy and have a successful meet. I hope to be able to make it there on Friday.

re: People problems at work - DO NOT suffer in silence, no one should have to put up with unsafe/unprofessional behavior at work!

So glad the belt is wrapped around a talented lifter.

soldog!-- thanks! i happened to check this thread a few minutes before i talked to head HR lady today. your reply helped keep things in the right frame of mind–thanks:) it went well today in the respect that they company had no idea just how bad things had become, and i think something will be done–drasticly for the better–i hope :stuck_out_tongue:

thanks snapper!!! :D!!!
