I stick to what I’m good at.

Great to hear you’re going to do the meet  For deadlifting knee socks, I use soccer socks, Ouro uses knee high dress socks, some people use Titan socks, etc.

Shipping is usually a bitch, so if you want, go through Titan Canada. Just google it, send the guy an email and he’ll tell you if he has singlet/amonia/DL socks, etc in stock. Plus it’s much quicker… I sent my money/order for my bench shirt last Wed and it should arrive today or tomorrow.

As for the CPU card, that you need to get on asap. Marlene is pretty quick on the turnaround though. You can even send in your registration for the meet before you get your card and where it asked for your card number, just put ‘applied for’.

Also, the meet is either push/pull or 3lift, so make sure you sign up accordingly on the reg form.

That’s all my advice, now to go back to being whiney and bitchy

Gonna try and get this (register/ singlet etc) done today, after I get up from my nap. Damn… another fun filled evening last night in the Big Smoke.

This what I did yesterday;

MAY 6TH M.E BENCH (WEEK 1)

2 BOARD BENCH PRESS
bar x warmup
135x10
225x3
(working sets)
315x 5 sets of 3- each rep working set paused

BB FLOOR PRESS (legs straight)
225x3
(working sets- all reps paused)
295x3
295x 4 sets of 2

FLAT DB BENCH
100x7
100x8
100x6
all reps paused

ROPE CABLE PUSHDOWNS
a bunch for a bunch

Did not have a spotter for any sets, nobody I trusted in the gym. This training alone certainly sucks sometimes

[/quote]

How did you do board presses? I can’t walk and chew gum so I certainly couldn’t manage that.

I use the “Meat Method”. I take a knee wrap and tie the boards in place (not too tight) on my chest, wrapped around me like.

They stay in place once you are lying down. I have also done them with the boards stuffed under my shirt/ sweater.

Gives a hole new meaning to “sporting wood”, lol!

That’s a good idea. I’ll have to remember that for when I have my garage gym set up.

You know what else would be good? When you get your mantard, wear it to the gym, stick the boards in that. Find the guy that was really inquisitive about your bench numbers and stand really close to him wearing that. Be really friendly too. I bet he never asks you another question.

Aha so mantard is the new word!
make sure to get a spangly one like skid.

excellent work on the pressing those are some big floor presses!

OBs what is in the water up there?
these b*stards are benching what I squat!

MAY 8TH- M.E. DEADLIFT WEEK 7

ELEVATED RACKPULLS (8")
bar x warmup
135x10
225x10
315x3
405x3
(belt on)
515x5
515x5
515x4
515x3

ROMANIAN DEADLIFTS
435x8

D.E. DEFICIT DEADLIFTS (4")
365x 5 sets of 3

ARCHED BACK GOODMORNINGS
135x10
225x sets of 8

BENTOVER D.B. ROWS
100x10
110x10
120x7

Not a bad training session, was a little low in the energy levels department… which I attribute to my working midnight shift currently and not eating enough. Did not feel like much, but my lower back, glutes and hams are telling me different today.

I’d say damn nice for a low energy session!

Good goin’ bunny!

OK, finally finished this damn midnight shift. I really need to win the lottery…

I have been neglecting my Squat/ Assistance day training lately, time to get back on the wagon, 3 months left until the big day.

MAY 11TH-- SQUAT/ ASSISTANCE

SQUAT
bar x warmup
135x10
225x5
315x3
(belt on)
405x3
455x1
475x3/4 (red light on depth)
365x5 then no rest 225x18

SEATED DUMBELL PRESS
60x20
90x9
90x5 (each rep paused- bottom and top)
90x4 (each rep paused- bottom and top)

REAR DUMBELL DELT RAISE
4 sets for a bunch

DUMBELL CURLS
20x warmup
drop set- 60-50-40-30 each weight to failure

That’s it. Got a phone call at the gym (just after squats) from a buddy who’s car broke down on his way home from work, had to go and help him out so I cut it short. Might go in today and do some other stuff… or I might cut the grass… whatever.

My squats suck… due to neglect I think.

Yeah, boy, do they suck. Wish mine sucked like that.

Nice work.

Agreed!

Nice work, Bunny!

Bunnydude- nice pulling and pushing! Do you use straps for the heavy rack pulls?

YOU SUCK! STOP SUCKING!

They will all laugh at you at the competition because they will KNOW THAT YOU DIDN’T TRAIN YOUR SQUAT/ASSISTANCE LIFTS!

Brent is stronger than you…

Feeling motivated yet?

I only do it because I love him so.

If they don’t know, I’ll tell them at the Belle River meet. I’ll just quietly make my way round the warm up room and let it be known. I’ll point too.

I hope you haven’t changed you mind about Belle River. I was kind of wondering if you’d fallen down the outhouse hole. I guess odd shifts suck.

Thanks SFP/ Strick… trying to stay motivated, been in a bit of a funk lately…

Thanks Steely. I usually work my way up, and then the first of the working sets I don’t (or try not to) use straps. After that, I use them as required. My grip has come up quite a bit the last 6 months, so I don’t feel bad using them.

Ok… that wasn’t necessary sob… you are so mean sniff… I’m going to go do calves now.

LOL! Thanks, I knew I could count on you for support

I have not changed my mind on the Belle River meet, I spoke to Marlene (via email) regarding the O.P.A. membership… everything takes a little longer because they do not accept credit cards and everything is done via “snail mail”… so I downloaded the forms and the waiver(s) etc. and are mailing them today with payment today.

I still have to register for the Belle River Meet, which I could not do because I do not have a C.P.U.#… so Marlene said she will let them know when she receives payment and the CPU will be pending.

So… yeah, I will be there. These shifts are like being on another plane of existence or realm sometimes. Takes me a couple of days to catch up and feel somewhat normal.

Wow, Bun-man, with friends like these…you’ll get over it.

not to mention the brutal simplicity changeover kind of nails it home.
