CLOSE GRIP CABLE PULLDOWNS
240x6
270x4

300x5 (with straps)

Yeah, we’ve been talking about it, he must have some green genes hiding in there somewhere. Guess I need to see the Incredible Hulk and compare the lifts

Thanks guys… I don’t feel “worn out” just yet, have a few days where it takes me a while to get the juices flowing, but feel good for the most part.

I am suposed to be going golfing in Michigan week of Sept. 8th to 14th, so perhaps I will take this as a >break period<.

Still waiting for my “goodies” to arrive from “Inzer”- wraps and sleeves and stuff… even bought a 'fuscular" shirt… combo of fat and muscular (lol).

So, my bodyweight is down to 255-258lbs… and I am even starting to see a glimmer of abs again… wow! And I have been eating healthy and mostly clean, but not really strict… I am tempted to stop the powerlifting and get completely ripped… nahhhh, forget it.

Well, today is “Upper”… better get to it… out.

Shoot - eating clean and lifting like you do on top of running around for work and family is already doing the job. Don’t change your training style as long as you are enjoying it.

Looking strong as always Bunny!

Bunny, went back and looked at your 1st post where your goals were to lose fat and gain muscle mass. Now that you’re making these gains have you given any thought to competing? If you’ve already said something about this sorry I missed it.

Keep going the way you’re going and getting ripped will happen naturally. I’d rather be soft-looking and bloody strong rather than ripped and weak any time…

6’3’‘, 279lbs…sounds perfect to me at 5’9’’ 255lbs.

Hey Hel/ Skid/ Eco…
I don’t think I would compete bodybuilding (at this point)… kinda like the powerlifting/ strongman ideals.

Skid, I agree… just not “too soft” looking.

Weighed myself this morning, 255 lbs, I would’nt complain at 280 pounds Eco, if it was a functional/ good weight… I may get up there again as a monster lifter… but want to put on as much muscle and gain as much strength/ power as possible.

In the mean time, having some fun…

AUGUST 22- UPPER

The following workout was 1 hour 15 minutes.

M.E. DECLINE BARBELL BENCH
bar x lots
135x10
225x7
275x3
305x3 (PR 10 lbs)

305x3
305x3- drop set no rest 225x10 each rep paused

M.E. FLAT BARBELL BENCH PIN PRESS (Pin #6)
315x3
335x2
365x0
365x0
365x0 Pops always said I was a stubborn hardheaded S.O.B.:stuck_out_tongue:
355x0- burnt from previous attempts I guess:mad:
315x4 (Pr x 1 rep)

D.E. INCLINE BARBELL BENCH
155x21 (baseline PR)

SEATED DUMBELL SKULL CRUSHERS
70x10
120x5
120x5
120x5

1/2 SWISS BALL TRICEP PUSHUPS
3sets to failure

Not a bad workout, bummed with the pin press, but as the second DE movement I can’t complain.

Still waiting for my Inzer stuff to show up…

Bunny, Good day at the bench!

Nice numbers, never did like the false grip in bench though. I’m afraid I would roll my wrists at the end and dump the bar on my chest.

you can’t be to soft at 6’3’', 255 lbs. You’re at a good NHL height/weight.

Bunny

Where bouts in Ontario are you? I’m originaly from Hamilton or as I like to affectionally call it “the arm pitt of Ontario” lol

AUGUST 25- LOWER

D.E.- DEADLIFTS- RAW
bar x lots
135x10
225x5
315x5
405x5 (PRx2 reps)
505x0 (did not lock it out)
505x0 (same)
475x2 (PR 1 rep)
475x2

M.E- RACK PULL (1" above knee cap)
315x5 (fast)
405x3 (held at lockout each rep 10-15 secs for grip)
495x3
565x3*
615x1*
635x1*
565 to 635 baseline PR’s weight and reps at this rack height

D.E.- FULL SQUATS
315 x 8 sets of 3 reps
really noticed alot of speed and power coming out of the hole, must be from all the box squats… definitely up in weight next session.

1 hours drive north of Toronto

Yep… do some serious crashin’ the net. Howerver, I would love to play NFL-- I think Urlacher (LB Bears) and I could do some serious damage.

Oh… almost forgot, got my goodies from “Inzer” yesterday… knee and wrist wraps, elbow sleeves and my “Fuscular” t-shirt. Definition- “Fuscular- someone with high amount of muscle mass and body fat”.

Thought it was funny, had to get it.

Bunny, I’d like to thank you. I saw you deadlifted 500 so I had to give it a go as well. One thing I like about this site, it gives me a little push to do more. Comes in handy working out alone.

Great work, and thanks for posting the videos, Bunny. You and Eco are showing the way.

Hey Eco… no problem. Wish I could bench like you though…

No probs Geech… I still feel like I am fumbling around in the dark though, so new to this… and so many different training ways/ philosophies.

I know that I am getting stronger… I just hope I am doing things correctly. My bench is pissing me off though.

Your bench is moving up. Mine is lower now then a couple years ago. With the way you’re working out we’ll have similar numbers in bench too in no time.

I feel your pain about being new at this type of lifting. I wonder sometimes if I’m doing this correctly or not. I’m also pissed I didn’t start doing this 10-15 years ago.
