*BRUTAL SIMPLICITY*

AUGUST 11TH- ASSISTANCE DAY

bar x warmup
135x10
185x3
205x3
225x0 (twinge in right shoulder joint, immediately racked the weight…)
225x0 (nope… something hurts)
135x10 (feels ok at this weight)
shit, hope I did not pop a screw or snap a wire… time will tell

DUMBELL SEATED PRESS
65x20
70x12
80x6
nice and slow reps, feeling out the shoulder, feels tender…

PENDELAY BB ROWS
135x10
225x6
315x3
315x3
315x3 (tied baseline PR)

WIDEGRIP CABLE PULLDOWNS

300x3

DUMBELL CURLS (run the rack)
all sets done with no rest in between
70x4
60x5
50x5
40x6
30x5
**2 minutes rest, then…
30x5
40x5
50x5
60x4

I don’t know what the shoulder will be like, hopefully did not do any… or too much damage. We will see, next training session is bench, soooooo… throw some ice on it…

Had another hockey game last night, shoulder is still tender, but I don’t think anything too serious… gonna take tonight off, perhaps upper (bench) tomorrow… before another hockey game.

At least I am getting cardio.

Niiiiiicccceeee pullin’ Bunny!

Hope the shoulder works out…

Great damn pulling. Watch that shoulder.

Bunny, how much can you strict curl for 1 rep? The apa (amer. powerlift ass.) has an strict curl event. I was looking on line and the record at 275lbs in the 40-45 yr old catigory is 181 lbs. Saw you did 3 sets 135x8, you must be maxing aroubd 155 or so. I bet you could give that record a run if you trained for it.

Hmmm… interesting, I wonder what the Canadian record is. We usually only curl 12 oz. at a time (beer)!

Yeah, strict form, I am around 155/160 lbs barbell curl. I will see what I can do my next “assistance day”.

AUGUST 16TH

135x10 (slow reps)

WEIGHTED DIPS
bw x 10
bw +45lbs x5
bw +45lbs x5
bw +90lbs x0
bw +90lbs x0
+45lbs x 4
bw x 7
at least I got the benefit of the negatives for the 90’s

FLAT BARBELL BENCH
185x20 (1 rep short PR)

EZ CURL BAR SKULL CRUSHERS
110x10
130x5

Then did some abs, calves and grip work… good day all in all. Pissed my camera ain’t workin’… just bought that friggin’ thing. I am gonna have to go and talk to the drooling mouth breather that sold it to me…

still looking strong. You gonna take an easy week at all to recover?

JEEZZ bunny! Stay north of the border!! You are really grinding it out!

Congrats on the Squat PR… Its cool keeping up with your work.

You one big fella, fella.

Mebbe you help this old man move his furniture? I’m moving to Cananda, as there seems to be something in the air there that makes one SUPER FRIGGIN’ STRONG!

Yeah, I think I am due… I will have to review my log and make a decision…

Thanks Willy and Skid…
The thing up here that is in the air is “taxes and ineffective government”.

We just think of that, the way we are getting screwed… and it makes us want to go and lift really heavy things and break shit. Works for me anyways.

I hate the winters up here too…

Thats the same south of the border too. :frowning: I’m saying that as a political cynic.

Oh. Well. Guess I just need to concentrate on what going on here in the US and get the same benefit as you Canucks.

I’ll tell the wife to pull the couch back out of the garage, then.

Hey… leave the couch in the garage, you can charge me monthly rates to sleep there when I defect to the U.S. and claim refugee status. I will be your guard bunny…

Now, to more jovial matters…
