Woe is me, I’m 6’3.

I got a quick question for everyone.
Has anybody gotten more vascular after gaining some weight?
Ever since I put on these last 20lbs I got a bunch of new veins popping out on my chest and shoulders. This is even when I’m relaxed and not lifting, maybe I should go to the doctor again…
Oh what a problem to have…I’d love to be more vascular.

Getting more vascular as you build more muscle makes sense man…if you are genetically gifted in that department why would you think that more veins wont be pushed to the surface by bigger muscles underneath? That’s how it goes…

I’ve never seen someone who was tiny with gnarly chest/shoulder vascularity…usually only biceps/forearms at that stage…but that same person would prolly have them running everywhere if they got swole.

my numbers aren’t incredible, but i’m proud of my progress.

I’d go 15-20 and I second to what Buckeye Girl send about doing them at the pulldown station, and that form.

Tiny chicks flock to tall dudes. The proof is in the pudding my friends. I had a little group of them flock to my buddy and I tonight. The strongest one of the bunch said, “Mine” and tried to give me a bear hug or something. I just bent over and said, “YES!” and picked her up like 4 feet off the ground. lol I she actually wanted me to take her to the movies. We were in the vicinity so I agreed and I gave my buddy my rig. I got to joy ride her RSX. Yeah I’m on them bitches like Michael Vick CHAAWW! Sorry that slipped but still sorta buzzed but remember boys, keep them around for more than one night and bad things will happen!

Did Back today with Crod, cut the volume a bit and he added some volume cause we lift on two different extremes lol. Good session though. I also did deadlifts last for the first time ever and it worked out well.

HS High Row

3 PPS X 10
4 PPS x 6
6 PPS x 4

V-Bar Pulldowns

180 x 10
220 x 8
260 x 8

Chest Supported Rows

90 (2 Plates) x 6
135 (3 Plates) x 6
225 (5 Plates) x 3 + 1 needed Crod to really give me a good spot lol.

Deadlifts

135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 5
405 x 4 Up one rep since last week.

Good shit.
Damn man. I pulled over 400 today for the first time and here you are pulling it for 4 after a fucking year lay off. Bastard.

Those V-bar pulldowns, are they with the V-handle usually used for rows? Or is it the widerbar. I was thinking of using the handle for lat pulldowns in the future. Anybody tried these?

Nah he’s like 260, remember he’s 6’2 also.

About the protein consumption…more is better IMO.

I have 9 meals on workout days and I get total 400g protein in just four meals…that doesn’t even count my pre/peri/post workout stuff.

I would say I’m getting 3g/lb and I’ve never grown faster, just my opinion.

You’re not far off 300 lbs now, are you?
I don’t think you’re getting 800-900 grams per day. You’re overestimating your eating prowess here, my friend

600 perhaps (which would be practically “normal”) or maybe even 650, but more than that?

Post your diet lol

Can’t have you eating more protein than I do ;D

50g whey 5g leucine
10 whole eggs 1 1/2 cups oatmeal with 2 cups skim milk
100g whey 4 tbsp EVOO
75g whey 45g WMS 5g leucine 5g creatine
25g whey 25g WMS 5g leucine
100g whey 75g WMS 10 leucine 5g creatine
1.5 lbs 90/10 ground sirloin, spinach leaves, salsa
75g whey 4 tbsp evoo
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese 5 tbsp natty PB
50g whey 5g leucine

BEDTIME.

This is a workout day. Maybe you’[re right, but it’s still a lot lol, I’m like 282 right now.
This isn’t that far off a V-Diet lol. Don’t you feel like shit drinking whey and oil all day? If I have too many shakes I have that empty feeling in my stomach and just feel bloated. And EVOO doesn’t help. I got food poisoning the other week and I’m pretty sure it was from EVOO so I’m a little worried about going back onto it.

i think i know what your talking about its a neutral grip with either a foot or two between handles? yes?

my gym has the vgrip which is similar to the ones people use for t bar rows and then these two which has about a foot between grips and a larger one with two feet between grips

they’re alright for variety but I’d rather stick to my underhand grip and wide grip still

Was talking about this one.

Light beer hangover from hell.

When cute girls ask you to play drinking games, there is no answer but yes. Opened the gym this morning on 3 hours sleep. Definitely still drunk. Great night though.

Be back tomorrow to post a session.

Doesn’t bother me at all actually. I’m in my best shape ever so I can’t complain.

Food poisoning from EVOO? That seems unlikely.

no they’re lbs. they’re not impressive but they’re good numbers for me. i got a new PR on deadlift and wanted to tell people who appreciate getting PR’s. not many people i know understand how its a big deal

You might have better success if you do deadlifts for sets of 3 or 5 instead of like 10, 8, and 6. Good job on the PR tho man.
How much you weigh?
waylanderxx wrote:

I’m 5’10 or something along those lines. The height in my profile was just me guessing, I’m actually 2 cm taller than that.
So no, there’s no excuse for your puniness
And happy birthday Austin.
As for the protein thing, I do best at around 1.8-2 grams per lb of bodyweight unassisted, 1.5 works to some degree but at this overall bodyweight etc it just doesn’t do the trick anymore it seems. It got me past 200 though, but after that I had to up my intake. 1.5 is pretty much maintenance level for me now, sort of.

Is there some kind of logic to this rep scheme? It seems very strange to me…why not just warmup to a top all-out heavy set? I really think you would get better results, faster progression, etc doing this…

Day 3 of the Diet = Not hungary at all, but deff notice energy going down a bit. I’m already getting sick of Haddock and salad.
