Where are you guys gripping the bar for these in humans. I notice I can bench more than a few of you yet get less weight on the in humans. Maybe it’s cause I grip the bar with 4-6 inches between hands. Idk.

I grip just a bit inside of armpit width I think…gripping that close would make it impossible for me to bring the bar down very low without it hurting my wrists like a mofo.
I also have strong triceps comparatively to my chest/shoulders, lets just say my arm is all tricep…my arms look pretty damn thick and good from the rear and look like shit from the front IMO.
Also I could say the same thing in reverse. Your biceps and curl numbers are much much better than mine - but my back numbers are better than yours. Its just the way our bodies like to do things probably.

I’m doing them today, only I do them on a decline bench because it feels 1000x better for me.
My grip is about half an inch outside the smooth part of the middle of the bar. I believe it is slightly outside armpit-width.

Yeah maybe I’ll try gripping the bar right where the nurling begins which would be arm pit width. I can probably squeez out a few reps with 315 that way. I love in humans. I never feel pain in my wrists doing anything really, only if I did a free weight close grip with a lot of weight and having my hands touching. I attribute that to never using straps and lifting heavy weight. Last year I could touch my thumb and pointer finger on my right wrist and now there is a half inch space between them and an inch on my left. Only reason my right is smaller was because I broke my wrist roller blading when I was 7.

Well my pressing is really good. When beching I hit my pecs and like today they are very sore where I feel I could work my shoulders and triceps without any discomfort even though I won’t. When it comes to back though my biceps tend to dominate but Im pretty good with weighted chins and high rows and even deadlifts which i’m rebounding on. It gets disheartening when I could deadlift over 500 when I was 17 and now a year and a half later can’t but that’s what happends with an injury and 550 looks pretty reasonable before the new year. If we took my strengths and your strengths and threw them on a guy we could make a pretty hulkish dude lol, but I’m sure the weaknesses we have now won’t be weaknesses in the next few years.

Do you find that to be enough volume? It just seems like not that much unless you are doing a deload.

Completely break your left wrist including through the growth plate and then come tell me if you can still do anything without wrist pain… =P
My right wrist never hurts either…only my left, the one I broke.

Haha, I can’t wait to lift, but I’m going to be out for a few days from lifting because I’m moving back up to Uni, gotta travel and get situated, but I’m ready to hit that gym as soon as I possibly can.

Pretty much anything I do on a decline takes stress off my shoulders, thats the appeal of it, even though you guys jumped down my fucking throat when I did declines 2 weeks ago.

upping the frequency, and I dont handle volume as well as some, I very rarely do more then 5 exercises in a session. Tried higher volume, my bodyweight went down.
Meal plan for today is right about 4100 calories. 1.5 lb of beef, 1.5 lb of chicken, etc. Gotta do that work in the kitchen friends.

Don’t waste your time with such a narrow grip… You’ll never be able to put up major numbers that way, will never really get huge tris and it tends to fuck up people’s wrists at some point.
Go armpit width at least, more like shoulder-with-scapula-retracted-width (that’s standard if you’re flaring elbows to some degree at least on the IH’s) or if you’re tucking elbows, as wide as necessary (a little outside shoulder width when you’re retracting your scapulae or so I suppose, anyway, as wide as necessary).

Awesome day today
Inc Smith:
LT: 255 x 9/225 x 10
TT: 265 x 6/225 x 11
Flat DB:
LT: 110 x 6
TT: 110 x 7
Shitty form/crappy setup. My head was hanging over the bench a tad.
Cable crossovers for a pump
BB Curl:
LT: 115 x 8/95 x 15
TT: 115 x 7/95 x 16
I reaaaally suck at these. Shit just felt so heavy. I’m thinking of ditching these, but i’ll probably use 100 for my first set next time to get higher reps and come down that way. Otherwise they are out.
1 arm cable curl:
LT: 70 x 11
TT: 70 x 13
Pinwheels:
55 x 10
Dec smith close grips: boooya
LT: 275 x 10/245 x 10
TT: 285 x 9/250 x 10
Should have jumped up more than 10lb. I’m gonna keep my first set at a 6-8 so i’m putting 300 up next time. I LOVE THESE
Pushdowns:
LT: 135 x 23
TT: 140 x 23
