I had a pretty good weekend. I ate really well and hit the gym Saturday and Sunday. Here’s my “arms” day on Saturday:

1a. BB curl
1b. BB CGBP

1a. 65x6/85x6/85x6/85x6
1b. 135x6/175x6/185x6/185x4

2a. DB Hammer Curl
2b. Skull Crushers

2b. 75x10/75x10/75x10

3a. lat raise
3b. bent-over rear delt raise

3a. 15’s x12/20’s x12/20’s x12
3b. 15’s x12/20’s x12/20’s x12

4a. rev grip EZ bar curl x2/ reg. EZ bar curl x1
4b. cable triceps pressdown (v-bar) x2/ 1-arm cable tri extention x1

4a. 45x12/55x10/65x10 (+2 top partial)
4b. 90x20/120x12/6 underhand+6 overhand (per arm) @50

I haven’t really dedicated a workout to just my arms in a long time. It was pretty brutal and I am feeling it still today.

Here’s Sunday’s session

squat
2x4 @265
2x4 @275

bench
6x2 @195 (30 sec rest between sets)

Squats were supposed to be all sets @ 265, but I knew I could get 275, so I just went for it. Shit was heavy, but went up smoothly for all reps.

I’m going to have that f*ckin’ song in my head now. I hate you JB.

Session from Friday

Squats - 6x2 @ 265
got all 6 sets no problem

Bench - 6x5 @ 230
got all 6 sets no problem

I couldn’t believe who strong I was on the bench. Never had to struggle for a rep, everything was smooth and solid. It was awesome.

Thursdays Chest (can??t remember if I posted this already)

HS Incline:

4plates+25s x12
4plates+25s x9
4plates+25s x7.5
4plates+25s x7.5

HS Bench:

6plates x14.5
6plates x11
6plates x8
6plates x9

Cable X-over (weight per side):

130x13
130x12
130x12
130x11

Pec-deck:

130x15
130x14
130x13
130x12

*Been working on shortening the rest periods a bit to speed up the workouts so I can get in some abs/calves/cardio at the end of my lifting sessions.

Saturdays Back

Oldschool T-bar Row (fucking destroyed this compared to last back session):

6plates x15
6plates x13
6plates x13
6plates x13

*Last week was same weight for 11, 9, 9, 9. Next session = 7plates.

HS High Row (Lats):

6plates x12
6plates x14
8plates x8
8plates x8

*Replaced my usual Wide-grip Rack Chins with this because someone was using the smith and only portable bench like forever and I was to the point where I was doing 18+ reps with the max weight EZcurl bar I could put on my lap. Had planned to do the same weight and start holding a 2second stretch at the bottom of every rep and really slow negative but didn??t feel like waiting for the bench.

Cable Row:

200x11
200x10
200x10
200x10

Close, neutral-grip Lat Pulldown:

200x9
200x9
200x8
200x8

Had a solid back session and finished quite a bit faster than usual, and it was very unexpected because I wasn??t feeling very well and actually almost threw up during my cable rows.

Dre, im sorry that you dont want the awesomeness that is Bryan Adam summer of 69 in your head.

I followed this up by going out that night and most likely undoing any positive work in the gym I had done of the last couple days.

Crazy night

Sunday was rough.

Reminds me why I don’t drink but every couple of months.

Long story short, between 2-4 in the morning I was drinking in Ohio,Kentucky, and Indiana, lots of cab fare.

I never thought I would hear someone put Bryan Adams and awesomeness in the same sentence together…wow…just wow.

Stuntman Mike, next time you see JB, please give him a purple nurple for me.

Dre, I’m thinking about biting the bullet on the vibram five fingers - I need a good shoe for lifting in. I’ve been wearing a worn out pair of old skateboarding shoes for a LONG time and I’m looking for something to help with the lower back pain I get if I do cardio for more than 5 minutes. Which ones do you have, I’m looking at the KSO in black. Any more info you want to share with me about them would be cool, feel free to PM me or whatever.

btw, I hate that the socks for them are 12bucks a pop…lol

I have the KSOs in black. If you do get those be prepared for people to call you gorilla foot, Mr. Deeds and anything else they can think of! haha

First question you need to ask yourself is do you like being barefoot? If not, you might not like these. It really is like being barefoot. Which is why I love them so much. The fact that my knee pain disappeared when I starting wearing these is a bonus too.

Just a word of warning, if you aren’t use to being barefoot a lot, your feet will hurt when you start to wear these for any length of time. You need to give the muscles in your feet time to strengthen.

Also, if you want to give you calves one helluva workout, run in these. I ran once in them for maybe 10 minutes. My calves hurt for two days straight.

Are you looking at getting Injinji socks? I want some but haven’t bought any yet.

Anyone got a link to a video of the In-Human CGP? That exercise is getting some good press in this thread and I’d like to give them a try next time I do arms

Sumo Deadlift
185x2
225x1
245x1
275x1
315x1
325x1
350x1 PR
375xMISS

Well, 2nd week in a row I missed 375.
I was real mad, and didn’t have much drive to do anything else after.

I wanted to get 350, because I knew I could get it. If I would have just went from 325 to 375 and missed 375 I would have been even more disappointed, and would have felt that the workout was a waste since I didn’t get a PR.

I’ll back off next week, then build back up again.

Jstines, I could never find a picture or video of it, but CC gave me a good description of it, ill forward it your way in about an hour, when im back from my Chest/biceps workout.

Dre, whats your malfunction ? Adams is like the Canadian Bruce Springsteen…
