Um yea the h.rows are what LastStand described. Horizontal Rows - sorry for the abbreviation.
I ate two 19in Frankfurts wrapped in croissants with cheese uberbachen. fuck yeah. see attached photo.
one big ass pastry thing
one big ass wanna-be burrito
two big ass coffees (anyone see tarentino’s grindhouse, death proof???) ![]()
and after my workout pound a 53g protein shake.
Rowing
1km 2:03 split 3 min rest (split equals min:sec per 500m) so 1km in 4:06 minutes.
1km 2:06 split 3 min rest
1 km 2:08 split 3min rest
2 km 2:15 split want to puke out the german version of a burrito and coffee I ate for dinner but holy shit was I engaged. totally felt the connection in the lats and the quads off the catch. I held 30 consec strokes at a 1:45 split several times. I think I could have hammered out a 1:55 split 1k but I ate too soon beforehand. Amazing feelings though.
then, completely drenched in salt water, I went straight to assisted pullups. These felt really strong and nice and easy, except on my angry food filled gut.
over hand 10kg assist - 3r x 5
over hand 10kg assist - 3r x 5
plank to the first have of angelene by pj harvey - one minute 30s?
pushups - I did 4r x 4 … this is my first attempt. They were heard for me
diamond pushups- for triceps? were a lot easier for me still only did 4 x 4r though
wide arm pushup 1 x fall flat on my mug
sit ups - always with 5kg weight, and always till good and sweaty - 2-5min.
head stand - 1-2 minutes until I started laughing histerically at my buddy jenz.
The End. Ich lieb euch.
Happy T-Bird Day, Bre. Good stuff with the rowing. Today is a squat day for me, so I’m going to eat big in a few moments. Good times. Deep Elvis thrusts, huh? Interesting…

thanks buddy… wish I could squat!! currently de-loading?? (Did I use it correctly?) with BW to make sure all my joints are getting a break.

Yes keeping the joints together is of utmost importance. I find that sometimes I have to fight myself to take the deload but every 3 or 4 months the deload weeek can’t come soone enough. I am trying to pattern those feelings but I do some many different things all the time that don’t relate to my workouts but have a huge impact on em it is hard to say why that happens. Anyway enough of my rambles - have a great day.
a) frankfurters in croissants sound awesome! And salty.
b) nice pushups! I love me some pushups.
c) good idea on deloading w/ BW work. That’s a smart decision.
Have a great weekend!

It’s awesome that you’re excited about this. Wait til you start doing unassisted pullups. Hell, I left the gym happy as hell tonight, as I am up to doing 6 pullups in a row. Not bad for having been unable to do them for the past two months. Good stuff, Bre. Keep it up.
That looks yummy! I love franks wrapped in a flaky dough, so nom.
Beautiful avvie too ![]()

python for your nightmares.
I did a bunch of pushups today…I think diamonds are my fave.
look at that bicep! purty ![]()
It is pretty cool reading this thing and seeing what you are learning/trying. You definitely have another reader here.
That is one sweet looking bicep! Yum!
And yes, I’ve said it many a times, there are so many variations of pushups - they are endlessly challenging! Have fun with them ![]()

Thanks! my mom tells me that same thing! Your not hard too look at yourself!
so lately workouts are a bit boring and go as follows:
run 2.6km to the gym - it’s cold, and my bike’s in the shop, so the faster the better!
row 5km - either 2000m, 2000m, 1000m OR 1000m, 2000m, 2000m - typically finished in 35-40min with about a min or two break inbetween.
I’ve been playing with body weight exercises before and after rowing. I really feel like my shoulder girdle responds better after rowing - things sort of click into place. My arms are super long and my shoulders are double jointed so sometimes I feel like compound upperbody exercizes are challenging. So if row beforehand, and I go into pullups and pushups, everything feels locked up and tight. If I start the body weight before the rowing sets, then strange things happen - my shoulders feel very disconnected and tend to ‘pop out’, my forearms and elbows get strained really fast, so I feel like for upper body body weight workouts I’m better off getting the connection rowing, and then going the weight training. I think when I go back to benching I will continue rowing to warm up. The connection that I’m getting will definitley benefit.
I know I am getting a good leg work out rowing because I’ve started to press my knees together on the drive back to maximize velocity off the catch, and my legs are burning after every heat. I’m not worried about missing squats and presses right now because I’m doing a lot of sprinting and burning.
I plan to continue until the end of this week with these work outs, and then see about benching, squats, deads again.
I told my gym guru that my hammy is screams sometimes - usually only in the squat motion, and he thinks I should ignore it and continue training every 4 days. Any opinions on this? I don’t see how training through a screaming muscle is a good thing. As always your expert advice and personal experience is appreciated.
If by “screaming” you mean that it’s a normal level of soreness: training through it won’t kill ya.
If you mean “Hurts way worse than normal soreness”: it might be a good idea to at least rest it some, allowing it to recover before beating your hamstring’s ass again.
