Can anyone give me any info on brain function clonazepam?

clonazepam is believed to act by simulating the action of GABA on the central nervous system. Because of strong anxiolytic properties and euphoric side-effects it is said to be among the class of ‘highly potent’ benzodiazepines.

Although benzodiazepines are invaluable in the treatment of anxiety disorders, they have some potential for misuse and may cause dependence or addiction.

The sedative effects of clonazepam are relatively weak, compared to its strong anxiolytic and anticonvulsant effects. One milligram of clonazepam is approximately equivalent to twenty milligrams of diazepam. [1]

I am in speech class and I have anxiety and get anxiety easily. I have a few tablets of this stuff. Do you think this would be ok if i am currently taking Piracetam and Oxiracetam? I know they both act on GABA also.

Thoughts?

I have had some good success using inositol to counteract anxiety when I get overstimulated from tyrosine…it works better than l-theanine. I remember reading that inositol binds to the benzodiazapine receptors. 250 mgs works well for me, but some people may require several grams

i’ve heard that. im going to look into it more.

That absolutely works well(using inositol to counterattack any over stimulation/anxiety with tyrosine)

I take a B complex vitamin with inositol in it.

I can down 6g of tyrosine a day no problem.

Doesn’t work with caffeine though

But do you still get noticeable results from tyrosine with the inositol? Like it doesn’t cancel out the focus factor?
Why is that? Inositol cancels out focus? Or negates stim’s?

I was asking if the Inositol interferes with the positive effects of the Tyrosine…?

Just a quickie: Looks like aniracetam may not be prescription only after all… BN will have it back in stock very soon

Nope, not at all.

I’d imagine you would need something a whole heck of a lot more sedating for that

Thanks for that.

So I tried Moda yesterday. A friend of mine who has sleep apnea has a prescription for it.

He pulls some random package out of his pocket and I ask what he takes.

To his suprise, I started rattling off exactly what it what, how it works, yada yada yada.

Anyhoot, I’m one to never turn down a good time, so I pop one.

Didn’t really notice anything. Probably something you would need to take for several days.

Sodding government. How can any organisation allow the sale of nicotine and alcohol yet restrict racetams on the basis of ‘health’?

BBB
Because they’re a bunch of doddering geezers who actually have no idea about the laws they sign, do zero research, care little for their constituents, and often don’t even attend the limited amount of sessions they do have?

I am delighted that these gentlemen can dictate lives with the stroke of a pen.

Very cool. How did you find this out? Thanks for the update!

What do you guys think would help a 70+ year old man taking blood pressure meds to improve memory or cognitive funtion in general?

Possibly:
Centrophenoxine or DMAE
Huperzine A
Vinpo??

Damn
I am moving to the England and was under the impression that they were legal there. I don’t want to do anything stupid to mess up emigrating dammit.

They are legal to purchase, just not to sell. believe me I tried to set up my first nootropics stack for general release, but no joy, due to ani and vinpo being ‘borderline’ medicinal products.

BBB
Thanks again for all the help

Careful, your thinking rationally, and that’s frowned upon nowadays.

Straight from the mouth of bulknutrition:

We have aniracetam on the way to us now. We should have it in about Wed. or so

Thanks
Dennis

I would start with vinpo, before adding in HupA and then DMAE.

For Pete’s sake, whatever you do, tread cautiously. I think it’s quite likely the older person could see tremendous benefits for some judicious noop use, but always allow for the fact that their systems are not as robust to changes as their younger counterparts.

Vinpo dramatically improved the senile decline of my mothers’ friend though. Until her husband decided against it, for some reason.

Thanks Bushy!

BTW: I wasn’t thinking of adding all of them, more along the lines of what one would show the most benefit.
