I’m no expert by any means but as far as stims go 1,3DMAA has always given me much better mental ability than caffeine… You could try ALCAR, too.
Second this. Also, if you’re training hard, Power Drive helps remove foggyness. If you want more acuity, there are other supps that can help better than stims.

Is it possible to get pure DMAA to make it easier to manipulate dosages?
Can you list a couple recs for supps for mental acuity?

DMAA is the active ingredient in Oxi, so I have tried it. From what I’ve been reading it’s not as safe as ephedra–not sure how true that it is. You’re not supposed to use Oxi with other sources of caffiene or stimulants, so I’d use a third serving Oxi–not sure the DMAA content–and have 1-2 large cups of coffee. I felt this was a good balance of DMAA with caffiene that wouldn’t send me over board with anxiety or jitters.
Any thoughts?
Ehh, dude, what? DMAA active ingredient in oxiracetam?

Does anyone–Bushidobadboy if you’re around–have anything to add to the list?
Thanks for your time!
A)Ephedra
B)Green Tea Extract
C)Caffeine
D)Search Function
Sorry man no offense but there are three 40+ page threads on Nootropics try reading some basic info on them before asking for a personal re-write of your stack. I’m all about helping people, but judging by your stack you’ve done no research. Despite the negative feelings this may bring up in you- I’m actually doing you a favor- teaching you to think for yourself.

Thoughts? Yea Neuropharmacology isn’t your specialty. The chemical structures of Oxiracetam and DMAA are completely different. There are no Carbon to carbon double bonds in DMAA - it contains only 1 amine group (NH2) while Oxiracetam contains a pyrnadine group, two hydroxyl groups, 2 ketones and an Amine group ( quite the larger structure compared to DMAA). An easy wikipedia search could have illustrated this point to you.
Again, we (as in I) am attempting to raise the level of intelligence on the board not lower it- come informed or don’t come at all.
^When he mentioned “Oxi” I think he was referring to a fat burner called Oxy-Elite Pro… In which DMAA is the active ingredient.
Also, I don’t think he was asking for a full nootropic stack. Rather a few compounds that simultaneously aid burn fat loss and increase mental ability… Just how I interpreted it.

Loud and clear, thanks
Have you guys used his Oxi? I’m starting to think mine isn’t legit…
EDIT: Ok, now I’m starting to get pissed off lol. 1600mg and still no noticeable response or increased memorization.
Yes and yes. I don’t know if anyone else would describe it like this, but a lot of what I’ve studied while shall we say under-the-influence, is like a burned image in my mind, makes recall much easier when it’s like a physical image has been burned into your head, but I suppose this would depend on what sort of material/concepts/etc that you’re trying to ‘burn’.

Ok, so it’s real Oxi… I bought all my stuff from them; Ani, Oxi, DMAE etc but I still dont feel like I’m getting the benefits that most have been talking about.
Def didn’t get the material “burned into my mind”. They were just basic definitions really. Nothing too complex…
I’ll have to test just the Oxi on an empty stomach (no other noops) tomorrow. Is there a certain way most time it? Say 30 minutes before studying before you feel it ‘kick in’?
Yeah I do the 30 minutes prior, usually I’ll dose it from 600-1200 mg, or 1-2 caps. I definitely get this extremely focused feeling with it, sort of like tunnel vision, I don’t know if anyone else has had that sort of experience and can corroborate.
Edit: Forgot to add that I take it with 600-1000mg DMAE, 600 mg Ani, and 10 mg vinpo, so they effect I’m feeling may be synergistic, or maybe just placebo, but it has been consistent, which I feel it worth noting.

Exactly.
I’m glad someone is on the same wavelength as me.
Sorry I was unclear with my abbreviation “Oxy.” Like MAF said I was refering to Oxy-Elite-Pro
No, I don’t need a long and detailed list of brain boosters customized for my lifestyle; but a couple safe and cost effective suggestions would be fantastic.
@NuRhoPsi, you are correct that I didn’t take advantage of the pages of content here on the BFB threads. Just wanted to have a discussion with others who stack their own weight loss supplements.
The more I have been reading, the more I want to go with DMAA over Ephedra.
So far I’ve got
A) DMAA powder–I thought this would be a good way to really manipulate the dosage if I don’t want to use an entire 25mg.
B) DMAE
C) Green Tea Extract
D) Caffeine (tablet or coffee depending on convenience).
I think this should be sufficient to start out; the best part is that I’m getting all the above in a larger quantity than OEP for almost the same price. More bang for your buck is always a beautiful thing.

I’ve also been experimenting with adding oxi to my stack, definitely agree with taking it on an empty stomach as it’s hydrophilic. I’ve been dosing it upon waking and with coffee, then when I start studying 45mins - 1 hour later there is a noticable effect.
Alright, thanks Roon and Matty. I’ll try again today…
EDIT: Ok, I guess Oxi just doesn’t do it for me. Took 800 mg with a cup of coffee and 200mg DMAE. Nothing. Took another 800mg 90 minutes later w/ 750mg Ani, 800mg DMAE, 20mg Vinpo, 4 fish oil, 1/2 TBSP EVCO and chugged about 20oz water. Oh well.
In an attempt to not ask repeated questions in this thread I’ve searched most of it but I can’t find a conclusive answer, and there seems to be a bit of a divide.
BBB, I’ve noticed in this thread, and in a few others, you praise Aniracetam/Pramiracetam/DMAE/Vinpocetine as a great stack not only for its immediate effects, but also for its cumulative effects over time. With this in mind:
-Should I take my Neurostim Pramiracetam everyday regardless of studying?
-Is there any long term effects of taking this everyday?
If I had a period off from it, would it negate the accumulation of neurotransmitters and ‘waste’ what I’ve been building up?
-A few people, who use the racetams long term claim to get ‘burnt out’ from these with sustained use. Can you scientifically refute this once and for all, I don’t know if they are referring to being physically exhausted due to the mild stimulatory effects, or to being mentally exhausted due to the increased blood flow/opening of new faculties. Either way, regardless of their lack of real knowledge, it still puts me off slightly.
-Should I avoid this stack on training days? If not, should I aim to take it before my workout and get the bulk of my studying done, or after?
I want to make this a permanent and regular part of my supplementation, but I need some professional clarification before I do so. Thanks in advance.

This is usually the case when ppl don’t utilize an ACh precursor. Essentially, how I understand it, your new higher mental functioning faculties require more fuel, and if that fuel isn’t provide, then you lag.
I very much enjoy the mildly stimulating and focusing effect of DMAE pre and during my training session.
golder wrote:
So essentially, if you ensure you take DMAE/choline supplement, this ‘burnt out’ feeling won’t occur? Can anyone confirm this?
Nootropics are not black and white like that, a choline supplement certainly reduces the chance of feeling ‘burnt out’ but it is different for different people. For example some people find that taking a racetam at the same time as a choline supp leaves them drowsy and lethargic, some have no issues with this. It’s about finding what works FOR YOU.
Anecdotally though feeling burnt out after some time using noops could simply be from increased study time and less sleep, rather than direct actions from the noops.
