What’s the thought around here that pramiracetam increases nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity leading to the death of neurons?
“The effect of systemic administration of pramiracetam on neuronal type nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity and NOS mRNA expression were studied in the hippocampus and cerebral cortex in rats. A dose of 300 mg/kg (i.p.) of this nootropic produced an approximately 20% increase in NOS activity in rat brain cortical homogenates”
You mentioned you used Pramiracetam before and I am still sifting through all the old information, but are you suggestion that like piracetam, prami has no cumulative side effect taken for longer periods of time? There is no worry that any increase in NOS may cause damage to neurons?
I am sure 24,000mg of pramiracetam taken in one dose would probably not be the best thing to take lol.
Has anyone tried using grapefruit extract (or juice) for more effectiveness?

PM me too. Want to try it.
I’m planning the following stack because I have a lot of cramming of concept based stuff and a lot of memorization.
Have: DMAE
Planning to take:
N-acetylglucosamine
centrophenoxine (aka Meclofenoxate, lucidril)
Vinpocetine
That should clear the way and make for a healthier brain.
Thinking of running that or something similar for 3-4 weeks and during study sessions adding geranium extract, aka 1 3-dimethylamylamine, and or coffee. I think I have 10 or so spike tabs too.
Then when the study sessions are more of a routine and brain is more spongy, I’ll add to the stack a racetam (which one i don’t know yet) and alpha GPC.
So to recap:
Weeks 1-3: N-acetylglucosamine, centrophenoxine (aka Meclofenoxate, lucidril), Vinpocetine, DMAE
Weeks 4 onwards: Above stuff (less DMAE), a racetam (which one i don’t know yet) and Alpha GPC.
I’m hoping this will help with learning of concepts and memorization, but especially concepts as well as verbal fluidity. Thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

I tried juice for a few weeks. No noticeable effects…

Only thing I can add is you’ll probably want to keep DMAE for when you add a 'racetam (avoid headaches and I assume higher choline levels will always be good).

Hmm, I got lost in all the scientific literature but apparently GF juice only works when a certain enzyme is responsible for breaking down given compound… Maybe there is a different enzyme to add.

Yeah I can’t remember any of the science behind it. I actually tried with juice and then with real grapefruit, but nothing…

Roger that. I might stick with the DMAE but maybe at a reduced dose, cause I have the Alpha-GPC in there which is a choline source. Also will be eating plenty of choline rich foods.
^Ah, didn’t see the Alpha GPC part. Well regarding what racetam to add I think Ani or Prami would be best for daily use (just b/c Oxi tires some people out - my first dose was only 400mg and I got pretty tired). Although, I’ve seen some other logs where one guy was fine on up to 2200mg per day but he was taking something like 7 doses per day while cramming.
I’ll add in another vote for prami.
I’m don’t take it daily (I use DMAE, vinpo, and ani daily) but I take prami before I have to read/write for my creative writing english class. It’s incredible how much easier I find ‘out of the box’ thinking to be.

Where do you purchase yours from?
I have been trying to create a combination of supplements to increase my metal acuity and aid with weight loss.
So far I have three:
A) Ephedra
B) Green Tea Extract
C) Caffeine
Does anyone–Bushidobadboy if you’re around–have anything to add to the list?
Thanks for your time!
Oxi question… How does every one time it? I took 800mg Oxi, 200mg DMAE and 10mg Vinpocetine about 2 hours ago with a cup of green tea and can’t say I’m impressed. Not really noticing much at all right now. I’ve been trying to memorize terms and functions with only a little bit of ease…

I’m no expert by any means but as far as stims go 1,3DMAA has always given me much better mental ability than caffeine… You could try ALCAR, too.

DMAA is the active ingredient in Oxi, so I have tried it. From what I’ve been reading it’s not as safe as ephedra–not sure how true that it is. You’re not supposed to use Oxi with other sources of caffiene or stimulants, so I’d use a third serving Oxi–not sure the DMAA content–and have 1-2 large cups of coffee. I felt this was a good balance of DMAA with caffiene that wouldn’t send me over board with anxiety or jitters.
Any thoughts?
