Brain Function Boosters 3.0

I suspect a minor language fail.

I meant that you seemed to have misunderstood what DMAE is.

Your goal appears to be weight loss and you are comparing bromocriptine to DMAE? Either which of I would never consider for weight loss, and only DMAE for a source of choline.

@BBB: hehehe dude! i wasn’t refering to you man! i just kinda got pissed today when for the 183957393049th time someone called “fail” to my poor english.

@RSGZ: Yeah, my main goal is fat loss, and i’m using bromo for that goal. Now, i was wanting to know that if bromo, aside of the fat loss benefits that might have, could be used as a brain booster.

Getting to the point, do bromo or any dopamine agonist have any impact brain boosting?

PS: just forget the DMAE thing now. I think it is just making the thing that i’m trying to ask more complicated.

For me, bromo was horrible stuff. The nausea reduced appetite and the lethargy prevented effective training.

But the dopamine release should help curb appetite and engender feelings of wellbeing during a time of calorie deficit.

Hmm this is very interesting. I think it shall be discussed, but i don’t wanna be a thread killer so, bottom line: Bromo doesn’t offer any brain boosting benefits?

Has anyone tried combining CDP-choline and Alpha-GPC as choline sources? Something like:
300mg GPC + 250mg of CDP choline.

Tomorrow I should be getting some ani and oxi. I keep reading that aniracetam has to be taken with a fatty meal. Is there an ideal number here in terms of grams of fat? I`d like to take my first dose with breakfast, but that meal must have about 10 grams of fat. Is that enough for proper absorption? Oxi is taken in between meals, correct?

Thanks!

…A noticeable kinda-tyrosine effect…?

I do not have any experience with tyrosine so I could not make the comparison. It does seem to help me with memory but I did not notice it right away. It took about 30 days before I noticed. Should Alpha GPC, Vinpo, Phophatydalserine, cdp-choline be cycled or are they alright to take indefinitely? Do you guys take days off from your regimes? Thanx for any info.

thanx for the reply bbb. What does you cycle look like in terms of time on and off. Thanx

Can some one help me out with this, i keep getting really tired whenever i take vinpocetine.

I haven’t taken it in a while due to not studying but now it’s starting up again whenever i take it i am shattered bordering totally useless.

The first time I took it I had really good results, I was tired maybe the first week but put this down to jet lag as i had just returned from a long trip but it could of been the vinpocetine causing it. After a week I must of just got used to it and not tired anymore.

Is there any reason that it would cause tiredness or any solution, I can’t find anything about this on the net.

I was taking 10mg 3 times a day with food, i’ve tried reducing the dosage by splitting the pill in half and getting 5mg 3 times a day but get the same.

Too much can do the same to me. Take a week off, then try the 5mgs 2x per day, and take couple of days off each week.

Has anybody had any experience with CDP Choline? Been reading good things on it so thinking of giving it a try.

So my nootropics just arrived the other day. I am currently on day three of the following regimen:
morning:
1000mg piracetam
1000mg choline citrate
10mg vinpocetine

My breakfast includes shredded wheat w/ milk, a lot of blueberries, an elderberry extract, creatine, vitamin d, fish oil + coffee.

Mid day:
1000mg piracetam
1000mg choline citrate

Evening
1000mg piracetam
1000mg choline citrate
ZMA tablet (which a plan on discontinuing since it contains valerian and hops extract)

I am planning on upping the dosage next week. Dont really feel anything yet, but I am dieting pretty hard right now and its probably attenuating the effects.

Im not the resident expert on nootropics but have read every post in all 3 threads... Piracetam in my opinion is garbage. And at 2 grams a day its almost a sure thing you will not notice anything. Do yourself a favor and get some aniracetam, oxiracetam and sulbutiamine. With those 3, you can make almost any daily situation a much smoother experience.

Adderall is the only brain booster I’ve taken that’s had noticeable effects beyond placebo (as much as I love Biotest products, Power Drive didn’t do anything for me).

The best way to describe it is that it keeps you from being distracted or from falling asleep. And the the crazy thing is that you don’t really “feel” it working unless you are studying or working on something. Having it in your system while walking around or chatting with someone doesn’t give you any sort of sensation.

However, it’s not good to use it long term (I like it once in a while to help me study for exams and assignments for college). It apparently leads to weight loss (both muscle and fat), so if you are bulking or even cutting, you don’t want to do this stuff everyday.
