broner maidana?? sick. what a performance. 31 kos from 34 wins at welterweight… maidains a monster ha. thought hed have got broner out of there if it wasn’t for the headbutt allowing broner time to recuperate. [/quote]
I didn’t get to see that fight but I was impressed by the recent fights in the light heavyweight division. Adonis Stevenson and Sergey Kovalev both looked impressive in their recent wins. I’d love to see those two hook up, it would be a bloodbath.
I was mad that I didn’t get to see the Broner-Maidana fight, but I don’t get Showtime.
Heard it did great in the ratings though, which is awesome for boxing considering neither are really household names, and I did follow the fight online.
Thank God Broner lost. I fucking hate that guy. Hate him. With a passion.
Plus, I love fighters like Maidana - that tough, South or Central American street-kid type that’s just violent as fuck and tough as nails. So glad he won.
watch all access on youtube , broners just embarrassing himself trying to be Floyd. it doesn’t come naturally to him. you can see him trying to use Floyds lines.
“I gotta hell of a life… when you can get up, and be like damn, I wanna go here…and in a few hours you there…that’s a hell of a life” - what a truly shit line
upsets me when people call him a Floyd wannabe. hes nothing like him. hes tacky, fake, nowhere near as slick. the guys classless.
Floyd has his moments but he puts on a show and borders on cheeky or slightly arrogant. broners just a disrespectful kid
maidanas cold as ice ha

lol ye. Id favour kovalev. I think he has more in his locker. guy just seems so damn heavy handed. obviously Stevensons got 1 punch ko power tho. hes def had the higher calibre of opposition.

I agree, I’d probably give it to Kovalev too. He’s much more of a brawler than Stevenson is; he comes charging straight at his opponent out of the gate with relentless pressure. Although, that may be a downfall against a guy like Stevenson who can attack better from angles.

Put another win in the column for fighter vs show pony
Broner is the kind of fighter who does all the right things to make people oo and ah, and prance around, but that night he got a fighter who wasn’t willing to be cooperative and was there to fight.
Cus d’amato is grinning ear to ear up in the pearly gates.
Give him his dues, Broner responded to the adverse conditions a lot better than I thought he would. I thought he would’ve went to water completely but he held on.

remember when broner wiped his azz with a 20 dollar bill?
For Ali fans: www.cbsnews.com has an short article and film clip on the Ali/ Liston fight, 50 years ago ( February 1964). Definitely one of the most pivotal moments in boxing history.
