Despite the strength benefits of box squats, what’s your view on their ROM compared to that of a ATG squat?
To quote Dave Tate, “Why can’t a lifter with a 400-pound deep Olympic squat perform a 700-pound power squat? A powerlifter who can squat 700 can do an easy 400-pound Olympic squat.” But, woudltn’ that person with the deep Olympic squat possess more flexibility?
Anyone switch up it up between these two to reap the benefits of both?

They’re two different tools and both can be used to make yourself stronger.
Someone with a 400lb ATG squat who can’t do a 700lb power squat has more than likely never put 700 pounds on their back before. Their muscles and CNS just can’t handle that much weight.

Yes.
Every other week? longer (ie, 4-6 weeks)?

I read some of your other posts and can see you’re a total newb. (E.g., you asked why it was that someone did not include squats and deadlifts on the same training day.) You can’t just switch exercises willy-nilly. Keep lifting and go read everything you can about periodization. Start with “The Periodization Breakthrough.”
A message board is the wrong place to learn such things. You need a systematic education. So go pick up that book. Once you’ve read that, go read “Supertraining” by the late Mel Siff.
