And I like how White Bread keeps calling us brothers and keeps hating on Denzel.
This is the first thing I picked up when I read his post, haha.

Whaaat lol I would say Decaprio has range for sure…damn for real Decaprio is no fuckin joke, I remember the craze over him when he first came out but all the movies he’s acted in have been great movies. At the moment I can’t think of any bad movies he’s done.
Hey rasturai, come on back over to the point then, eh? A movie star can have no range but still be in good movies and be good in their roles, that’s what’s being discussed. I think Leo makes a great wussy little white boy in all the movies he’s in.
I’m pretty sure different ranges of actors were being talked and actors who have different range and still make good movies.
Maybe in the beginning Leo had those roles of “wuss”, but the last few definately not…you don’t know what your talking about.
He has tons of range, and Body of Lies was a great movie as well. And now for the new movie he has coming out Shutter Island looks great
Gerard Butler is another man who is making it big…from doing P.S. I love you, and then doing the movie 300. To the Untold Truth, and then the movie LAW ABIDING CITIZEN…which for Wol he must of loved that lol because Jamie Foxx made it in the end…he survived, and Gerard the mastermind had fallen.
SPEAKING of Jamie Foxx he went from The Jamie Foxx Show, which I watched all the time to making the Kingdom which was a great movie.
I would think Jamie is a great actor for being able to pull that off…someone with a comedy show and such…people just don’t take them serious when they are certain movies…especailly a movie like that. Like when I see the Wayne brothers…then see them in a serious movie I’m like…why them
I like them in their show and other stuff, but in a serious movie please no.
Then again someone like Will Smith, had Fresh Prince of Bel Air…and man whenever I hear a Will Smith movie coming out I’m in the theatres…I am Legend, Pursuit of Happiness…he’s damn good at what he does.

I think Will Smith is the man (Bad Boys, anyone?), but always get a smug, douchebag vibe from Jamie Foxx.
I liked Jamie Foxx so much better before he started making music with auto tune in it. They could actually sing, why did he have to blame it on the Alcohol like that?
Seeing Book of Eli tonight, guessing it won’t suck.
Ok Wol got a woman to go see it with me too at least I hope. So I will check it out, Denzel ain’t let me down that I can remember so I will go make him some money. I do think it will be hard to beat man on fire though

Isn’t it much more interesting that in a thread started to discuss a movie that none of you have seen yet has caused so many of the white guys on this board to try to point out every possible negative aspect of an actor who is generally praised as being one of the best at what he does?
I mean, I was asked if his fighting moves looked stiff…and some guy who hasn’t seen the movie calls me out for saying he clearly had some training for this and was not stiff?
No, you tell me what I should be doing because your actions and the actions of some others here is what makes no sense.
What does any of what you are writing have to do with this movie?
i liked the movie till i realized the whole thing was religious propaganda and then that kinda pissed me off. Also not as much action as i was expecting from the ending. So overall i guess it was decent and worth the watch but it you dont like religion or have a problem with it i wouldnt waste your time

Alright, I was waiting for someone to make that argument…because it is utter bullshit.
Spoiler:
What religious propaganda? The hero of the movie realized the power that is held within religion and I am glad one of the last scenes showed many religious texts from many different faiths…because the message would be the same if he was carrying the Koran (only not as widely received in America).
The Villain of the movie understood that people would literally come to him for leadership based on religious faith…and anyone who can’t understand how that is true is likely too dull to get the true message.
In a world that has been destroyed completely, how is it you don’t understand the power the man would have who held a holy text?
People turn away from religion when they perceive themselves as being in control of their environment and their lives…much like America today. Most humans in this country have advantages and comforts that people 200 years ago didn’t have access to. People turn back to religion when they feel a lack of control of their surroundings…or if they hold the belief that the world/universe holds more purpose than simply living a life only for yourself with no ultimate consequences at the end of it other than death.

If you think that this has religious propaganda, then you are dumber than Peter Griffin. Not once did they even mention the name of a religion. They only mentioned the Holy Books. That is it.

…which goes to show just how much people HATE religion. They can’t even let an idea in their head if you even show a picture of a bible (mind you THIS BIBLE HAD NO WORDS IN IT AND THEY STILL GOT PISSED).
Every negative review I’ve read sounds like an atheist having a nervous breakdown after having been forced to sit in church when the truth is, half of the movie was body parts getting cut off and hand to hand combat.
