Lol yeah chillerman can be my alter ego- I work on them as well. I deal mostly with comfort cooling applications of DX cooling and a bit in industrial/heavy commercial (think process chillers/plating shops, heat exchangers from dx to water/glycol for comfort applications etc)
I do a lot of work on package/rooftop units and water cooled chillers though, all air to air.
What a crazy week I just had. It has been both the happiest, most proud and most terrified I have ever been in my life. My wife and I are running on a combined 12 ish hours of sleep through the past 5 days, and we made it home around 6pm yesterday evening.
Long story short, spent 5 days in the hospital for the birth. My wife is fucking amazing and absolutely nothing in this world can stop her. She and the baby are healthy and very happy, but we may have to get re-admitted for a couple days pending a phone call later tonight or tomorrow morning.
Weighed 204 this morning, so I’m down a substantial amount of weight. It’s very likely just poor hydration and a lack of food. Hopefully I’ll be back to lifting in some capacity by the weekend, even if I have to break the day up into smaller chunks.

It isn’t much, but I got back to the lifting room and got some work in while the little fella was napping.
I really need to get back into the swing of real life. It’s been a more-than-atypical couple of weeks. We were in the hospital from thursday the 6th until late monday the 10th… multiple doctors appointments on the 11th, back to the hospital from the 12th until late on the 13th, multiple doctors appointments on the 14th. Our first full day home was saturday and we’re finally able to start building a routine.
I’m still consistently sub-204 and feeling absolutely deflated and trashed. Super tired, underfed and underhydrated- gotta fix this. Multiple family members (and even my wife!!!..) have told me I look “way skinny”. Ego has taken a blow, but I’ll be back.
I love seeing how the training is still rolling on. You’re already being an awesome dad for your kid and setting a fantastic example. They are fortunate to have you.
Thanks dude, I appreciate that. I am a very schedule driven person and the sooner I can create a new “day in the life”, the sooner I can roll with the punches when they inevitably come.
Also, I’ve been stealing a few ideas from you in the form of night feedings the past few nights at home. The little guy has been up to eat every hour on the hour from 10pm to 3am like clockwork, so between diaper changes I run downstairs and grab some metabolic drive and peanut butter.
You’re looking like an absolute fucking beast in your avatar pic by the way.
