Haha, I just started a new training log about this today titled Rebound. I’m going to be huge. Fucking lift hard man, stay on course.

Bodybuilding changed my life. It has given me much and has made me lose an equal amount. Maybe it was due to my extremist ways, but thats the only way that shit gets ever done.

I’m not riding my high horse now, but I consider myself completely immersed in it now. Nothing else matters. Train, eat, sleep. Everything else revolves around it, much like the sun. And much like the sun, my drive is forever burning.

Congrats, on taking the first step in the right direction my friend. Be deviant, embrace it. Take pride in knowing that your are different than most.

Bodybuilding is all about you. No one else is gonna pick up that heavy ass weight for you. And when you fail, you’ve got no one to blame but yourself. And when you succeed, you’re the only person who appreciates it. That’s why I love it.

Fuck yeah, just get so amped talkin about it, thinking about it, thinking about talking about it, mmm soooo goooood!! and T-Nation helps also

let me echo all this. great thread. I’m very new at this but these last 6 months have seen me lose 20lbs of fat, then gain 20lbs muscle. I’ve stopped drinking beer, tweaked my diet, and work out 6 days a week. I even do sprints and i never ran my entire life. 100% turnabout and i feel GREAT!

Just wanna quote an inspiring text I read recently:

"Big is big from a distance. But look up close and you’ll see big is made up of small. Take this big old factory. Large and imposing, it’s been here for as long as I can remember. Walk up close and you’ll see each weathered brick, the tenacious mortar holding 'em all together. But what you won’t see is the steel, wood and concrete. All told, these individual parts, the building blocks, make the whole. To me, this sport is like this building.

At a distance, you can easily make out my physique, the large shadow it casts. Yeah, you might see the bricks, but you won’t see how I placed each with painstaking labor, one at a time. Nor will you see the years of hard effort that has been etched into my soul-the countless meals, reps and sacrifices. You won’t see it, but it’s all there… I have lived it. I have suffered through it. All you see here is the sum total of those efforts, standing the test of time. "

"You stand alone. Ten plates in the hole. It’s you versus the weight. You’re thinking, “I’m gonna get friggin’ crushed.” You’re thinking, “I’m not gonna get up.” But you will.

Yeah, you’ll puke. Yeah, it’ll be hard getting off the crapper the next couple days. But it’ll be worth it, cause when there’s chalk on your hands and sweat on your back, there’s no better place in the world. This is pain. This is Animal. Can you handle it?"
