Yeah, but do you really want the provider sex?

Meh…

29 Latvian women? People are accepting a study about what women like based on 29 Latvian women?

Way too limited to be taken seriously, or in any way statistically significant. Even the researchers said this was only a “stepping stone” to further research, so to me this looks like the media once again jumping the gun, and reporting before the facts are in.

Most women “respond” to one thing: status. That can take on many forms and is highly contextual. Today we have so many different “areas of specialty” (from gaming to car racing to “high status careers” to sports) a woman’s response is really determined by which “tribe” she identifies the most with. Some “tribes” place a higher level of importance on being physically robust, others place a higher importance on personality or being funny, others are measured by power and income - there are simply thousands of areas to excel in.

And even then, women, being emotional creatures (and being inundated with feminist propaganda and buying into it), will sometimes seek security/provider over status and marry a nice fat guy with a decent job who “respects” them (puts them on the pedestal they feel they “deserve”). So IMHO, there is really no rhyme or reason to any “study” that links a physical set of characteristics to what a woman is likely to respond to - they are so “programmed” by the MEDIA to buy into whatever the latest trend is that they don’t even know what they want themselves. They are just as out of touch with their innate “feminine aspect” as men are out of touch with their masculinity so their instinctual responses are filtered and diminished through a whole range of bullshit.

Basically we’ve “evolved” as a society past the point where being a “protector” is an asset. Now that’s not to say that one cant flip that switch upon occasion in the right moment with the right woman, and when you do, it generates a very powerful response. But when many women start to feel that “tingle”, they don’t understand what it is and they are afraid of it. I think Orion and TTR were talking about that in a different thread a few months ago when they were discussing the link between fear and attraction. But creating that spark on an instinctual level is getting harder and harder as most women are looking more to check the boxes on their “list of criteria” rather than experiencing a genuine connection with a man who can lead them. They simply don’t value that as much these days. You cant post a “spark” on Facebook like you can a new Gucci bag.

My advice? Evolve ALL areas of your life. Make dat money, build dat body, learn to be funny and socially intelligent, excel in several areas to flip the status switch and retain firm possession of your own testicles no matter what. Men who “have it all” will have the most choice and the best mating opportunity with the highest caliber of women. ANYONE can take the time to develop those qualities and enjoy the fruits of that lifestyle. The rest will simply complain about it and jerk off to internet porn.

QFT

Which is probably just a veiled attempt by the OP to justify why he cant put on muscle. Or I could be just a dick.

The gist of the article is that women respond to signs of higher testosterone, only that not everything on the list is equal. Having abs is higher up on the list than having a “macho face”. You know what is 10x higher on that list than both of those things combined? Confidence and money/power. Show me the abs and face of Henry Kissinger and I’ll show you 100 women who didn’t give a shit.

here is proof the study is flawed using only a sample size of 1.
Is that TLC plus some random white girl?
lol.

The random white girl is Stephanie Bellars. Stephanie Bellars wrestled by the name of Gorgeous George, and was Randy Savage’s girlfriend at the time this picture with TLC was taken.

Exactly. Simply a no brainer.

Every guy I have seen who was jacked almost always had some piece of fine ass not very far away, while I have seen plenty of Starbucks-drinking, skinny jean wearing, faux hawk having, skateboard riding runt look as lonely as the most recent guy booted off of Survivor.

Lol,yeah, No. I unfortunately work out at one and people stare and gawk whenever they see someone that isn’t an old person or soccer mom. They don’t even have a military press.

That gif. made me laugh though, lol. Well done.

The problem I have with “survey” model studies is that women are heavily influenced in how they answer questionnaires by current media.

Its not really reflective of the choices they inherently make in the moment. Dollars to donuts if you had photographic evidence of every man those women have slept with, there’d be more than a few that don’t look anything like a survey ideal.

Theres a term for how people answer questionnaires as opposed to what they actually think/act upon, I can’t remember the correct term atm.

Response bias.
Is that what you’re thinking of?

There’s always that point when a woman puts her foot down and we can either comply, be in the dog house possibly dumped, or we can leave. There are always those weak one’s that are all talk and don’t follow through, call you back after an argument etc. But in general a woman needs to have a certain amount of control and trust. It’s more difficult I think for a woman to control a high test man that way, vs. some dude who will roll over most of the time when she really puts her foot down. I’m not saying women like men who are super easy to control, but women need to have a certain level of control, respect and trust…

Since we are talking body types, it seems to me that for A LOT of women, when looking for a friend with benefits or a one nighter they look for those traits that signify high test, muscular and well hung guys seem to be the target.

But when it comes to settling down with a guy she may go for a guy with more soft features. There’s also information about attraction that is pretty well known. That women have a higher level of attraction to men with high test while ovulating. Womens attraction to men changes during their cycles and they like men with more fem features during other times.

I’ve heard this explained anthropologically… That during other times of a womans cycle she is more attracted to less testosterone induced man, with softer features which seems to go a good ways as far as explaining skinny and chubby guys having good success with the ladies. Right now we are only talking body type.

The thing is, it may also be an evolutionary thing in that high test men may have more women available to them during a woman’s ovulation. We should also know that women that live together will sync up their times of ovulation, which is more food for thought. Imagine living in a tribe, all the women are hot for high test guy at the same time. So it may not be ideal for a woman to invest in a high test man if he’s likely to be screwing around. It’s probably safer for her to have the chubby or skinny dude, but take advantage of the superior genetics of the high test guy. I’m not trying to be a pig, it just seems to be that way.

It’s what I experience and observe as well, we all see it in the clubs and with who people cheat with. Same thing with when a couple is fighting or breaks ups.

We also need to consider why women have sex in the first place. To make someone she cares about feel good, to make herself feel good, out of revenge, etc.

So bodybuilders are fat? Because what I got from the article was that women prefer men who aren’t fat. That isn’t exactly groundbreaking research. A lot of women will take a skinny dude over a strong and muscular guy who is sitting at 20% bodyfat. But compare a skinny dude to a well muscled guy with around 8-10% bodyfat and she’s going to go for the muscle.

Hi

It’s true. I’ve never been laid.
Still wonder how my wife had our kid.

My type is Liev Schrieber as Wolverine’s brother in the 4th Xmen movie. Minus the long dirty nails.
