The Ideal Male Physique

Fuck the media.
Flame away.

Who cares what the majority of women like?!?! They are also attracted to confidence! Build your body for YOU not for women, and they will come!

I always laugh when guys care about what “the majority of women like.”

The majority of women are fat and ugly. I don’t care what the majority likes.

Considering we live in one of the fattest countries in the world, I wouldn’t be surprised.

The survey’s results are nothing new…old news, really. Big surprise…women say they want one thing, actually want another, and would like it all to be “effortless and natural”.

The one thing I was surprised by was the picture of Henry Rollins body. Am I confusing him with someone else? Cos that doesn’t look like the Henry Rollins I’m thinking of.

The average height of a woman in the US : 5’2"

Average weight of a woman in the US: 165 lbs.

Sounds JUST like the woman who’s opinion I care about.

Women don’t know what they want.

63.8 inches is 5’3.8" not 5’2".

(still fat for 165 pounds)

Pretty much known facts. Who cares, they say they hate big guys, and then BOOM, their gina tingles for the incarnation of testosterone. Unless any of us gets to be marcus ruhl, we shall have a great time with the ladies. And damn even those teenage girls (which I date and get to do stuff : U mad?) famous for their OMGZ I WUV DEM SKINNY GUIZE get attracted from muscle, and power, it’s programmed in their genes.

Lol, I can’t tell you how many times I used to hear from my Mother, Grandmother, their friends, or even girls in my classes when I was still in school about how they didn’t find muscular men attractive. Great! Because I wanna go out with women who look like figure athletes, not skeleton skinny or fat chicks.

(I never understood why people feel the need to give you their unsolicited opinion in the first place, especially when they know it’s going to be a negative attitude towards your own beliefs)

They SAY they don’t find it attractive but they also SAY ‘‘nothings wrong’’ when they really mean EVERYTHING is wrong.

Wasn’t there already a thread about this way back?

Also, I thought it was common knowledge that women don’t know what they want. The way they answered here are in-line with what they think society wants them to want, not what they want.

There’s also far too many uncontrolled variables like if the women are able to recognize the bodies (everybody recognizes Pitt’s), angle of the shot, camera quality, lighting, body language etc.

Words of wisdom above.

I know that almost every woman would prefer Brad Pitt over Ronnie Coleman every day of the week, but Ville Valo over Frank Zane? Seriously? One guy has at least 80 lbs solid muscle and still less fat on the other!

I was also genuinely surprised with the Calvin Clein model ranking lower than Henry Rollins.

Is it just me or is the trend not only going from strong and lean to slim and athletic but also from slim and athletic to skinny and bitch?

If someone ever decides to do a study like this right, they should hook up an EEG to women’s brains and flash a few hundred images in front of them to determine what they really like. Asking them is flawed and showing them just 5 images to choose from is really flawed. It would also be interesting to categorize women to find out how opinions differ from group to group. They could then break down the stats by age, race, intelligence, interests, activity level, married/nonmarried, beauty, mothere/nonmothers, virgins/nonvirgins, etc etc etc.

HA good point!

These things always make me laugh. Surveys taken of people (men AND women) are always such a crock of crap.

For a perfect example, read this and weep/laugh;

hahaha

Most men are too though and I think women’s answers may be affected by that. I suspect women often change what they say they like to make sure it supports who they are with or know.

But it’s complicated…if a woman likes a guy in the right way then everything about him is attractive, even if he’s fat or scrawny.

Good article. I’m starting to think that a lot of reporting these days is just writers acting out their prejudices in print.

That’s an interesting point. What do you mean by “in the right way”?

In that indescribable, irrational and impossible to figure out way lol

I mean that in all seriousness–the mysterious combination of looks, humour, personality and intelligence that sometimes doesn’t make sense. Sometimes women are surprised by who they become attracted to.
