Body weight lower back exercises

My partner wants to start lifting weights but she’s always had a bad lower back. Deadlifts are painful, even a 16kg kettlebell deadlift.
Can anyone suggest any exercises she can do that would strengthen her back. I’ve seen a couple of things like the superman back extension but I don’t know how effective they actually are

Reverse hyper extensions off a table.

However, if they’re experiencing back pain from deadlifting, I feel like this speaks more to an issue of not knowing how to hinge at the hips, instead relying on the back to lift.

I’d consider reviewing this

Also google “Hips don’t lie Starting Strongman” and give that a read

I did wonder if it was that. I tried to explain how I do it but as I’m not an expert I got her to watch a video rather than me explain to it her wrong and have her hurt herself.
I tried the kettlebell deadlift as I thought it might make it easier with less load on the back, a bit like the trap bar, but it was the same

Oh a side note she has had to have lumbar punches in the past, a nasty injection into the spine to release pressure. So there is a chance it has its root in that.

Is it a daily thing or more 2/3 times a week? I know there are core routines of planks and superman’s that are everyday
