Legs and Shoulders…

did a lot of stretching and foam rolling before starting my workout. Didnt want to chance it with my first legs day since messing up my leg.

Squats:
135 x 10
185 x 10
225 x 10
315 x 6, 6
365 x 3,3 (these felt pretty good but i was feeling quite tired. probably should have done something between the 225 and 315)

Stiff Leg DL with dumbbells:
60’s x 8
70’s x 8
90’s x 8
100’s x 8 (i was going to do BB DL’s but it was cramped in the gym today. It was raining today so the outdoor gym was shut down)

Walking Lunges w/ DB’s:
60’s x 8 per leg
75’s x 8 per leg
100’s x 8 per leg (at this point my legs were pretty shot so I decided to turn today into a legs/shoulders day)

Seated DB Press:
70’s x 8
80’s x 8
90’s x 7

Meadows style partial side raises:
40lb DB’s x 30, 30, 30 (insane shoulder pump after these. Was getting looks from a lot of people in the gym because of the small ROM but my shoulders looked like a couple of pumpkins after these so who’s laughing now? :slight_smile:

Reverse pec deck:
70 x 12
80 x 12
100 x 12

Couldnt do the reverse delt destroyer thing cause of all the peeps in the gym today. My shoulders were already en fuego (on fire for those of you who dont habla espanol) Pretty good day but nothing ground breaking in any way. Thanks for stopping by

Nikki- I am a quick ramper on squats. Everything else Im kinda slow and I think it’s negatively effecting mh strength gains. I’ll have to remedy that.

Ink- I am a big fan of bi lateral leg training. I’ve always loved it and one time did Bulgarian split squats with 225 for 5 each leg. It was awesome.

Ok so no gym today and as they taught us to say on that Carnival Cruise I took a few summers ago… “OHHH SHIP!!!”
I’m feeling pretty sore all over today. My legs and hammies are feelin it the most. I think the weighted pullups really did a number on my lats.

Side Note:
Anyone else like watching Jeopardy? I like when I know the answers cause it makes me feel so much more superior than the nerds on the show. Today was Jeopardy Teens which is awesome! They dumb down the questions for the kids and celebs that’s why those are my favorite episodes. For the record… I dominated tonights episode :slight_smile:

Oh yeah and I got a fresh new haircut haircut today. I’m also in the process of bringing back my handle bar mustache. With my hair freshly cut and short I look like a 12 year old. Gonna grow my stache so I still look more fierce… plus the power stache adds at least 50lbs to your squat. Its science.

Masch - I used to watch Wheel of Fortune all the time! its always CMDA. You have to check out those stretchers. they’re incredible

OK so today was Arms Day:

I’ve never really been a big fan of arm training so whenever I skip a day at the gym its usually arm day lol.
I got in the gym first and shot around, after a while i decided to test out my legs with a few jumps. I was jumping pretty good and attached is a pick of me grabbing the rim today. Not too bad. I felt light today.

Today was good. Highlights

CGBP: worked up to 275x4 but my wrist felt all whacked off so i dropped back to 225 for 8

Weighted Chin Ups: BW+45 x 5 I’m way stronger at pull ups than I am at chin ups.

then i did a few curl variations and tricep push down variations. Those are not that awesome cause the stations max out at 190 lbs and so I had to do 4 straight sets of 12 on the push downs. Wish I could go heavier.

pretty good workout today. it was a fun one

well the pictures are working but here is one jump that i had on video from the other day. Hopefully this thing works cause the pictures sure as shit arent working. I got a little higher on a few of the other jumps but this is about my average jump height these days.

also I thought I would share about my night.

Was up in LA for the weekend with my fiance. We had a great time and decided to get in the car and head home tonight. We get half an hour down the road when her car breaks down. I’m pretty sure its the transmission so that sucks balls. So then we decide to call AAA and have them tow us back to SD. We have the 100 mile tow package and we happened to be 94.5 miles from SD.

AAA calls the first truck company and they say they wont do it. They had to call around till they found one (which is awesome) except the truck couldnt pick us up until TWO HOURS LATER!!! ahhh it was so lame. We were in the middle of no where and there was nothing for us to do. Well the truck finally got us and we had an almost two hour ride in the truck.

The truck driver was a pretty normal guy (which was a surprise) but it was a long and shitty night. Home now and ready for bed. Gonna get to the gym tomorrow probably (if we can figure out the car situation)

Single Arm Pec Deck:

135 x 10
150 x 10,10 (<–these single arm pec decks have an insane ROM and work your abs a ton trying not to fall off the seat. I <3 them)

That was all for today. All in all a good day. I was very happy about the jumping. I’ve never hung on the rim before which was awesome. I’m really going to make a push to dunk sometime soon. Thanks for checking it out
