and here is a picture of it right before I threw it in the oven. So delicious
I approve of your stache and this turkey/onion/garlic/sauce combo.
Looks good actually could be worth a try!
That’s actually really similiar to something I made this last friday. Stuffed 10 portabellas with diced chicken(cooked in BBQ, cayenne, and other spices), italian bread crumbs, and mozarella cheese. Yours looks delicious. I’m going to have to give that a try for sure.
Lookin lean and mean, and obvi Im jelly of the STACHE.
When you say lighter and higher reps for the PM workout, what are you considering for load and volume (setsxreps) ?
I want to try this for chest and arms.

well this morning I went in and did some BB Bench. I got inspired by the NFL combine and wanted to try to get max reps of 225.
I warmed up and everthing then I tried max reps. first set of max reps was only 17 lol. I thought I’d get 20 for sure but man did i get such an insane pump around rep 12. That higher rep range was nuts. Then i tried for another set a little after that and only got 16. I alternated bench will wide grip pull ups for sets of 10 just to get the blood fowing.
after that second set i did 2 sets of 5 at 275 then I was pretty smoked and had to get to class.
Tonight i’m gonna do incline DBs Dips some sort of fly variation and who knows what else. we’ll see
Nice sets there. I don’t think I’d come anywhere close to 17 for a 225 rep test. I’m absolutely god awful at high rep work. High rep to me is anything over 5 haha. Ended up hittin PR again tonight though 285 on incline press.

After watching that dude do an insane 49 reps, I’ve been wanting to test out how many I can do as well. If my elbows feel OK, I think I’m going for it tomorrow. I doubt I’d even come as close 20 as you did though. Good shit.
Looks tasty!
Stache is coming in nice ![]()
Imma do high rep squattin’ tonight thanks to you, good sir. Feel the burn!
LM - anything over 5 reps is high rep? hahahaha I’m not that bad but I’m close. Those sets really kicked my ass. I’d like to work in stuff like that a little more just to get back some of that stamina but I will say that my chest is still sore today from the measly 225.
Sam - Isnt the Combine inspiring? I’m wathing a little of it now while having my morning shake and the O-Lineman are running 40’s. Its so wild to see a lot of these guys out of their pads. One kid who just ran was 6’8" and over 3 bills (left tackle) and ran a 4.97 40. He didnt look fat at all. If you didnt know he was 6’8" you’d think he weighed 220 or something. He was just a beast.
Maschy - Good luck with the high rep squats. They definitely give you a pretty good leg pump and they will test your mental toughness (well at least they do for me. You are probably tougher than I am)
Ok so heres a little update… I’m back to being sick again. It is totally lame cause I almost never get sick (usually less than once a year i’ll get a cold) and its still kicking my butt. have been really busy with different things and havent been in the gym much lately. Gonna try to get in there today but I just dont know.
So to go along with that we finally got the diagnosis for my fiances car. the transmission is done for and now we have to get her a new whip. not really what we want to be doing when we’re planning a wedding and moving into a new place next month. We’ve still got my car and my bike, which are both paid off, so we’re ok for a while but we both arent really looking forward to taking on a new payment… oh well.
When life gives you lemons you just gotta make some lemonade
Hmm that sucks, both on the cold and the fiance’s car.
I’d try getting an estimate on a new transmission(or even used) before resigning to getting a new car, unless the car is old/has high enough miles that it’s essentially totalled.
A new transmission and install can only cost you a couple grand, where a new car can run a fair amount higher.
You would still have to get her a new car eventually, but it would likely be after everything’s settled.
That’s pretty impressive on those 225 sets for reps.

The stache is officially back!!!
Ok so this cold still has me wrecked. Havent been to the gym at all lately and usually eat once (maybe twice) a day cause I feel like so turrible.
Selling my fiances broken down whip today as a parts car. Going to meet the guy and sell it today. I had to line up my handle bars before hand so that I look more menacing. If I stop posting after today it is because i was murdered (and more than likely raped) by the fake craigslist buyer. If that happens I hope you all use your super awesome interwebz skills and do a google search for the story. Then you must post a memorial thread for me in GAL highlighting all of the funny and whitty things that I have said (there arent that many so it wont take long).
The car was sold successfully AND i was not raped, murdered and/or sold into an underground slave trade.
All in all a good day I would say (<–that rhymed)
You look like a young Eric Bana.
Still jealous of that outdoor gym area. Seemed like wine country for some reason. Funny thing is, it’s JUST a damn backyard-looking area, but it’s just so damn cool.
You do other activity besides lifting? Rowing? Biking? Rock climbing?
17 reps is no joke, man. Pretty impressive.

Great success! Clearly the moustache did all the talking.
Feel better Greg!!
DF - I feel that a mustache like that would take a year to grow? It’s pretty awesome looking but it is very hipster… I don’t do the hipster thing.
Ponce - bana huh? You’re not the first person that has said that actually. In case I get famous and make a movie about my life I will have to remember that. He can play the part of me… Him or Ryan Reynolds lol.
Once I get better I’m gonna try that max reps again. I want to hit 20+. When I can do that I’ll throw up a video.
Maschy - Thanks! I’m pretty sure once the buyer saw my mustache he knew he wasn’t dealing with a pushover ![]()
I’m definitely workin on getting better. I’ve been resting up as much as possible, takin my vitamins, drinking lots of orange juice, making home made lemon and honey tea but I just can’t kick this thing. I know a few people who have had this cold turn into strep throat which would be terrible (I’ve never had strep throat but I imagine it is very sucky.) hopefully I get rid of it zoom cause it sucks and not going to the gym is killing me. I feel like I’m wasting away here and all my clothers are fitting looser ![]()
Yeah, you’re totally wasting away. Before long you’ll look like Bale in “The Machinist”.
Rest, Recover, Destroy.
LWI
Off topic, you were or worked with military, yes? I seem to recall you mentioning some SEALs in the past, or something. If you can’t talk about it because you’re super awesome like Alpha, I’ll understand.
